Meet my new puppy, Shadow. She's a pure bred black lab. She's 2 months old and I got her Saturday at Cabela's at some sort of convention they were having.

She's doing really well. In fact, she's only had one accident today. And she's learning to stay while I dry her when she comes in wet. She's also just starting to recognize her name.

And she is attached to me. She'll follow me anywhere when she's not napping. She did really well both nights sleeping that I've had her. No accidents and only a little whimpering in her sleep from bad dreams or more likely seperation anxiety from her litter.

Cute and sounds pretty behaved for a rather young puppy. Hopefully she'll grow up into a very obediant dog.

My downstairs neighbor has one of those, but it's huge. It also doesn't like me much owing to the cats we have, since it was bullied by some cats when it was a puppy.

Puppies are so cute! Last dog we got we missed the overwhelming cuteness stage and got nailed with the 'don't listen for shit' stage.

It hasn't been all sunshine and roses. She has a habit of trying to chew everything but her chewies. But that's a symptom of all puppies and it's just a matter of giving her the chewie as I pull her away from my shoes/gym bag/guitar stands/wall/fingers/toes/pants/etc.

Well, she's only 8 weeks old. Her mom was 65 lbs. and her dad was 80. And she was the biggest of the litter so she's gonna be big for a female I think.

No I got that too. She didn't really stop that until the 3rd day I had her. But she hasn't had an accident since last night, or pooped on the carpet since Sunday, so I'm crossing my fingers that she's at least starting to catch on. The way I like to put it is that she knows where to go, but doesn't yet know where not to go.
