The running of the Beach hound [minor 56k warning]

Yesterday I spent a delightful morning at the beach as part of my photography course (The final meeting is this Monday) and as part of it we practiced burst photography.

It'll be a while till I upload the rest of the 156 pictures I took so I decided to let you see the technical exercise of taking a running object, and it came out rather well.
(Try seeing it in a slide show with a very low time, it's as good as stop action movies/photography)

The rest of the stuff will be in with this in the set "Beaver Beach" (The name of the beach where we worked).

The second part is quite a bit more dramatic in the Dogs actions if I may say so;).

Cute dog, that third to last photo is very good considering how close it looks like you wear to the dog. What type of equipment were you using?

One Olympus E-300 Digital SLR camera, I did have access to a tripod but I didn't use it.
Sadly my primary 14-45mm lens is broken, leaving me only with a 40-105mm lense which is quite unsuited for the wide angle, panoramic shots needed here

Very nice, hardly any of those photos were out of focus at all. Cute dog, too.

Thanks, blame it on all the pictures being taken over the span of a few fleeting seconds with a very long range lense unsuited for the task with
C-AF enabled (Constant Auto focus for you luddites out there).

And the dog was indeed a big lovable overgrown puppy, theres a beauty of a picture of her being showered and running around and swimming in the "Beaver beach" pictures thread, right at the top.
