In before any DARES called it the "MAC II" I'm watching you...

<snerks> You see why I just called it a 'Monster' ?
In any case, behold the fully articulated Jesus Robot!

That has to be some kind of custom sett. I can see the first mecha being built from scratch, but not the jesus-bio-mech.
And I feel an inexplicalbe urge to destroy that little bugger. Dunno why, I just DO.

ZOMG! EVA 04! He probably cannibalized pieces from various sets for it.

The Lego people should make a kit of space/gun parts. No particular model to build, just a kit full of assorted wings, fins, turrets, joints, and guns that can be attached to Lego vehicles so that people can concoct their own robot and spaceship and military vehicle designs with a bit of freedom.

What about us losers who only know it as the "Stone Rhino" from the Mechwarrior 2 expansion pack? :P

Agreed, with an addendum: the OLD SCHOOL Technic sets, with the 'Holey Beams', Gears, Key-Shafts (plus-shaped sticks), and other assorted parts. I'd have loved nothing more than to make working models of all sorts of techno-gadgets these days, but you can't find them anymore!!

Never got that good with legos. K'nex on the other hand I was damn good with. Love those little buggers.

Oh my God, those are such naked Macross ripoffs. I've heard that BT had ripped off several Macross designs, but it really takes effect when you actually see them...

Vehrec and Yoshi: They're built from custom-made plans from scratch (see the website), which are of course cannibalised from existing sets or used ordered parts from existing sets, like virtually every single custom Lego thing you see online. I seriously have no idea why people keep asking questions of that nature when they see custom Lego items. I don't even get what questions like that are supposed to mean...

Holy wow. That is some damn fine usage of Lego. I've seen bigger stuff before, but transforming Valks? Just my style.

The Eva is nice. Though, it's a bit lacking. Perhaps a bigger scale would make it look more like an Eva. :)

Ah, the olden days of the Space/Space Police sets with the fluorescent domes, wings and spikes, laser blasters and jet engines - those had a lot of generic SF parts.

I've got a vintage space cruiser in a closet somewhere, partially fixed with modern bricks - I'd love to find the plans and order the original parts to fix it up, maybe get a few spares to build a fleet of ships. That'd be cool.

When I was a kid I always wanted to get some of those old school Legoland Space sets (before the specialised Space Police and ice planet stuff), but I think they were starting to phase them out by then...

Oh well, there's always MLCAD.

One of the many surprises the Clans have spring on us, the Behemoth is one of the most remarkable.
Empasis in original.

Stone Rhino / Behemoth is like Timber Wolf / Mad Cat. Its a Clan vs IS designation.

This reminds me, I should probably watch Macross again after I finish up Last Exile. I haven't seen it since Christmas Break.

What is the situation with it, by the way? All I've been able to discern is that it's a complete mess as far as rights and distribution and whatnot goes.

With Macross? No, that's actually been all cleared up for quite a long time. AnimEigo had the US distribution rights for Macross between 2001 and 2004, and then ADV got the rights in 2005, and have been releasing the series since the beginning of 2006.

I have the AnimEigo release, which Harmony Gold sold from their Robotech website as overstock bought from AnimEigo after their license expired, packaged in a fancy new hard box.

The Behemoth is the Inner Sphere reference name for the Stone Rhino, that is true. On the flip side, the ORIGINAL Behemoth, in the second picture, was an experimental Star League design that never saw full mass production. The Clans resurrected the design and polished it up, thus the 'modern' Behemoth. Related, but two different designs, ultimately.
