Yes my friends after a year and a half I have trimmed my beard! Why you ask would I commit such a henious crime to beardum? Well if I want to volunteer at my vets group coordinators office I had to shed my Talibanesque appearance so as not to trigger any guys who served in Afghanistan who come in with PTSD.

So here is what I looked like pre trim:

And here is the post trim:

And yes I have a turtle on my head.

You have to have a magic talisman to see the turtle.

What? You don't see the pictures or you don't see what's sexy about him? Or is it that you don't see the Talibanesque appearance

The difference. He still looks like a Mountain Man to me, complete with a Mountain Beard. :P

Which is not a knock on his appearence. All I'm saying is, if, oh, the Mess got lost in the woods I would look to the Corporal for guidance, as he looks the part.

(As WP would no doubt have disappeared at a run by then)

But ... but ... the Beard! It was so thick and manly!

Can't be helped, I suppose.

Alan Ok but they are working right ;) Good :)

Stile I'm not aware of what a Can-da-nadian is :P But no we Canadians don't all wear strange stuffed animals on our heads, my husband was just being a weirdo to make our kids smile :)

Lonestar That's just because you're used to seeing men who are still in the military :P I'm sure he will be glad to hear that you would have the faith in him to guide you all out with his old fashioned compass instead of any GPS system  Cause he won't use GPS, just so you know ;)

Ford Prefect Please, don't encourage him to grow it again!! It took me this long to get him to trim it
Actually I had nothing to do with it as he won't listen to me or his mother but he'll listen to his buddies who have good reasons. I would have had a good reason like that had we tried to fly on any airline in our recent past  Anyway, Don't encourage him!!

Will the turtle be a permanent fixture atop your noggin?

Because that would be awesome.

Actualy, on this note, it would be possible for the good Corporal to do all sorts of awesome trimming and cutting. He could carve that beard into a monument. Mrs. K! You're a genius! :D

Why thanks but I'm not sure why you consider me to be a genius, I'm not the one who managed to talk him into it
