I fourth 'Insurrection'. Like Keanu Reeves' 'The Day the Earth Stood Still', the message it preaches is apparently "If you're a human being, YOU SUCK! You should just die for the good of the universe!" or "You and your entire race should just die so a SUPERIOR BEING can replace you all!" I guess it's a sign of how detached from reality the filmmakers are (producer, screenwriter, director), that they failed to realize the positive message they intend to give, may be buried under the negative one they did NOT intend to give.
I agree the whole plot behind insurection was horrible. The fact that the rest of the universe can't have the key to imortalty because a bunch of hippies don't want to give up their home is bullsht.
It was bullshit not only because of the whole idea of advancing the needs of the few over the many but also because the entire conflict was unnecessary. The Enterprise crew began experiencing the effects of the strange de-aging radiation even from distant orbit. Surely it must cover other parts of the planet and that it must be possible to set up visitor/treatment centres on the opposite side from the Amish theme-park colony or in orbiting space stations. There is no real grounds for dispute —displacing the Amish is not necessary for others to benefit from the planet's radiations, and visitor/treatment centres can be set up well out of their way. It's just a stupid movie all around.

Oil an emergency?! It's about time, Brigadier, that the leaders of this planet of yours realised that to remain dependent upon a mineral slime simply doesn't make sense.

The good
Final Frontier: Cast, a few good moments, a plot with potential if poorly executed
Nemesis: Ooooh SFX!

The bad
Final Frontier: A mess of a plot, ridiculous ending
Nemesis: Shinzon. And a mess of a plot.

I'd say Nemesis is worse as a movie, but I'd opt to be able to watch Nemesis' space battle over Final Frontier.

I always thought the thing about Insurrection is that the purpose proposed was due to the Son'a being massive bastards and wanting revenge for being banished. "You kicked us out of paradise, now we'll destroy it!"

That said, it is a question of scale. How much constant shipping would be needed to A) build up the Ba'ku world within the inhospitable Briar Patch and then B) maintain a population of billions that would likely be moving in and out every few months as the particles did their work. The Son'a approach has the benefit of "farming" the particles so you can take them and put them in dedicated facilities spread out across the quadrant for the curing of disease and letting everyone enjoy the particle treatments.

Anyway, I voted for Nemesis, which was just fucking horrible.
