Destination Star Trek Birmingham
Is anyone else going to this? It's Birmingham, at the NEC Centre, from the 7th to 9th of October. Promises to be good fun!

Nottingham here but those prices are insane. Probably standard for a convention (never been to one) but £20 got a photo of Kim and 10 seconds of asking the same question he's heard 100 times?
Maybe I can spend £3,000 on the VIP package... yeah nah.

Re: Destination Star Trek Birmingham
It's an hour away from where I live, I went to Star Trek London at the Edexcel four years ago and it was exactly the same- all the cool stuff cost extra and just organising getting there was exhausting! There's something called the "Shatner's World Show", if that's not his ego trip I don't know what is
The only reason I went to that convention was that it was likely my only chance to see all 5 captains. Aside from seeing them, nothing good came from that experience The venue was so huge it was almost impossible to see the actors themselves, you had to rely on the huge TV screens.
