Correction: they claimed to be rogues.

That was disapointing ..Should we show this Federation how to build a ship so we may have worthy foes? Typhonis 1

I know that, but he didn't seem to get it so I spelled it out for him.

It seems to me that you're looking for a conspiracy where there is none. Everything the Ferengi said makes perfect sense. The burdon of proof lies on you.

That's the beauty of the Feringi's government being a Alliance no one really works for the government. If they had succeeded would not the Feringi Alliance have insisted on their cut of the profits?

Isolder, I sure as heck will agree with you there! Worf, the chief security officer on the flag ship of the Federation, missed the Ferengi by a mile with his phaser shot.

This would have been a GOOD episode, had it been on Voyager, but TNG; what the hell happened?

Heeheehee, it's not corps of Stormtroopers that will be doing the fighting, it'll be the kids seen in TMP!

Another thing about this episode: Little Picard and Riker acted like they were father and son to fool the Ferengi. At one point Picard slips up and calls Riker 'number one' out of habit and then tries to cover it up with "he's my number one dad'

I was thinking, 'Um Picard, how many dads do you have?'

Maybe it's an idiom that isn't readily understood by Ferengi.

You have a point but the fact he clarified almost gave it away too! The Feringi didn't seem to notice and he then drew attention to the mistake making it worse!

He should have said, number one parent. That at least makes some sense.
