add another crime to ENTs list of atrocities
"If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little."
-George Carlin (1937-2008)

"Have some of you Americans actually seen Football? Of course there are 0-0 draws but that doesn't make them any less exciting."
-Dr Roberts, with quite possibly the dumbest thing ever said in 10 years of SDNet.

lol, I misunderstood your post the first time around. It read like you missed that part.
They could just have well tested that weapon on another planet, like an uninhabited rock.
Possibly, yes, but what kind of season finale would that have made for?
That way they would not have given Starfleet an early warning.
Sometimes, like ancient bagpipers, letting the enemy know you're coming can be a powerful psych weapon. Besides, I got the impression that Starfleet really had no clue wtf was going on until Archer delivered the message from the future.

I guess the deeper point is that it's sad that one of the better Ent episodes was still rather crappy, relatively speaking. I haven't given up on Ent entirely yet, but it'd better get better next season.
