As of Wolf 359 what year were they in, preferably in the A.D/C.E time.

The Enteprise-D was launched around 2365, IIRC. Since each season corresponds roughly to a year in Trek time, you should be able to figure the rest...

I believe it was the season finale of the 3rd season.

If the season finale is part of a two part episode with the season starter for the next season, a season finale may be considered the "start" of a next season. So in the case of Wolf-359, the episodes were the last of season 3 and the begining of season 4. Just call it season 4, or 4 years to make it easy. Wolf 359 happened in 2369.
Now, not every time does the end of a season move right into the begining of another, though these changes usually do not have a cliff hanger. When DS9 aired the first episode of season 6 you find out it has been three months since we last saw them and when DS9 was taken. The 3 month interlude is also a relatively common thing done. Either way the rule of thumb is that a complete season represents an entire year unless evidence states otherwise.

Wolf 359 took place at the end of 2366. According to the ST:TNG Technical Manual, the Enterprise-D was launched from the Utopia Planetia shipyards in October of 2363. The Star Trek Encyclopedia provides the timeline for events placing TNG's first season in 2364 and its last season in 2370.
TOS is set roughly between the years 2261-65, with the movies stretching from 2277-2292, and Generations occurring roughly 80 years after the events of The Undiscovered Country, giving us a date of 2272.

That'd be three years, not four. Beginning of first season = launch date (+ 0). End of first season = launch date + 1 year. End of second season = launch date + 2 years, and so on. You don't add the year until it's over, not when it starts.
