Captain Janeway Performance Review
Ok. As we know, Janeway gets promoted to Admiral as per Nemesis. This is a "What if" scenario along the lines of the "Trial of Leah Brahms" -
Cast yourself in the role of the group responsible for weighing Janeway's actions over the course of her "command" during Voyager's run. What should be done with her? Promotion? Court martial? Imprisonment? Execution? Be the judge for yourself and weigh in!

It seems to me that Janeway was always something of a loose cannon. After all, command sent her on a deep-space exploration mission, undoubtedly to get her out of their hair. The verdict is weighed against her from the start for sabotage, willful destruction of property, harboring fugitives, breaking the Prime Directive.... and that's just the first episode.

Official Starfleet Memo
To: SF HQ Personnel Director
From: (then) Commander Kathryn Janeway
Subject: Command of a Starfleet Vessel
Cc: "Other Persons of Interest"
Att: *admiralnopants.mpeg*
For some time now I have been petitioning for command of my own vessel after serving for many years as first officer of the USS Chalupa and helping provide Federation ships nd colonies with raw foodstock for replication. During this time all of my requests and applications for further command testing have been ignored.
I acknowledge that my performance in my last Command Exam was less than stellar in areas of proper tactics and crewmanagement but even though my scores were abysmal they were quite average for a Starfleet Captain. On the written portion of the exam I admit to doing poorly on sections such as "First Contacts", "Internal Security", and especially the important sections dealing with the Prime Directive.
Nevertheles i resubmit my request for command along with the following attatchment. It is from a recording I came across while visiting the pleasure dens on Risa. Im quite sure the young Orion twin sisters in the image are at least 16 and I know you have a penchant for non human women that are not currently married to you (unlike your wife).
To be fair I have not sent this through proper channels,or to your wife. I merely ask that my applications for command be reviewed again. This time I feel you will find me qualified.

Your application has been approved, please report to Spacedock immediattely, upon arrival you will be officially promoted to captain and take control of a new Intrepid class vessel scheduled for long range exploration and possible tactical work near the Cardassian DMZ. Your "qualifications" have not been overlooked and Starfleet feels you will be the ideal choice for an upcoming mission...

Personally, I think it far more likely that she threatened to resign from starfleet and move into the porn industry if they didnt give her a command....its athreat to strike fear into even those that survived Wolf 359.....
As for the performance review when she returned....I suppose she spent a long time interspersing the ships logs with nude photos making it impossibe for anyone to read them.....meaning they just had to take what she said about how well she did as the truth.....

Outta fairness to the hag, she actually used those things toTyphonis 1 wrote:aiding and abbetting an known enemy of he Federation, royally screwing up First contact with an alien race((S8472))
save the Federation from destruction on two occassions. She
also dealt a pretty good blow to the Borg there at the end.
I wouldn't execute her for her military decisions. In those regards,
she did okay when all's said and done. Besides, as I mentioned
in another thread, Starfleet pretty much has to take her word for
things. Former Borg, Maquis and crooks like Paris aren't the must
trustworthy sources of information at SFC.
But...
If the Doctor remembered the Tuvix incident, Janeway's ass might
be nailed to the wall. Her treatment of the Equinox crew
in the episode of the same name might come up, too...and it's
possible someone SF considers reliable would corroborate her
reprehensible behavior.
For PR reasons it's better to promote her to Admiral for the time
being, as the general public--and probably most of SFC itself--doesn't
know what all went on behind VGR's doors in her early Delta Quadrant
days.
Then, after the noise about VGR's return dies down and
Janeway is out of sight, stuck behind a desk, for about a year,
send in Section 31 to go medieval on her ass
