You can't use HTML like that on the board; it'd probably open up the possibilities for all sorts of malicious fuckery. Here's the actual video, for people who don't want to click through to YouTube.

I apologise for the scripting screw up, the youtube button combo wasn't displaying the video so I had to try something, unfortunately I wasn't able it get it to work before I lost the ability to edit that post.

How exactly does one embed youtube videos? Recently I've been seeing the new Youtube Beta stuff, and it no-longer gives you traditional URL's for your videos. It's really shitting me off actually.
A scientist once gave a public lecture on astronomy. He described how the Earth orbits around the sun and how the sun, in turn, orbits around the centre of a vast collection of stars called our galaxy.

At the end of the lecture, a little old lady at the back of the room got up and said: 'What you have told us is rubbish. The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise.

The scientist gave a superior smile before replying, 'What is the tortoise standing on?'

'You're very clever, young man, very clever,' said the old lady. 'But it's turtles all the way down.'

For this board, you get the video up on YouTube as normal, copy-paste the URL (it should be in the format below) and surround it by [youtube] tags. For reference, this is the code I used for the video above:

Code: Select all

I've had flashblock and noscript installed since disco died, and I kinda assumed most people did too. Embedded videos don't load until I click them.
