A question occured to me about Voyager's finale- if the Borg have this massive transwarp station thingie that can pop open a transwarp conduit on Earth's doorstep, then why is it that both times we've seen them attack they slowly slowly fly a ship towards Earth at warp?

Because that would be the smart thing to do

Act of Plot. B&B couldn't decide to do anything that shows continuity for the end of Voyager, so they made up some way for them to get home. Never mind it being incredibly stupid and making the Borg look even stupider.

B&B lost one of their two brain cells.

The hub was probly set up by the Queens cube in FC, the hub was much father away from earth then from where the conduit ended so it's not that unlikely, and another assault on Earth was delayed(further delay from their normal waiting for them to rebuild bs) by S8472.

Extremely lazy writing.
At the end, even B&B realized the series was beyond help and wanted to end it as quickly as possible.

A train station is a hub. You still have to lay the train tracks to get anywhere.

But in this case, Voyager and the Borg spehere were still able to use this conduit to get close to Earth.
Its lazy writing. Instead of having the crew overcome hardships, suffering, and sacrifice to get home, they just give them what they need.
