After a slew of good VOY episodes featuring the EMH, this is something of a come down:

OVEG - "Blood Fever"
'Alright guard, begin the unnecessarily slow moving dipping mechanism...' - Dr. Evil
'Secondly, I don't see why "income inequality" is a bad thing. Poverty is not an injustice. There is no such thing as causes for poverty, only causes for wealth. Poverty is not a wrong, but taking money from those who have it to equalize incomes is basically theft, which is wrong.' - Typical Randroid
'I think it's gone a little bit wrong.' - The Doctor

Re: OVEG - "Blood Fever"
Once again we get to see Tuvok written like an Enterprise Vulcan a few years early-An uncaring bastard.
It's times like these I think that Voyager might have been a decent show if they'd made themselves into an actual dark parody of Star Trek. It's like, TOS was the original concept, TNG was the concept revisited and modernized, DS9 was a darker, grittier, more human take on Star Trek and now Voyager is the inevitable parody. It had all the elements: idiotic crew, annoying Alien Scrappy, insane captain, and a snarky holographic Doctor who served as our Only Sane Man. If they'd played it up for intentional laughs it might have done fairly well.
Once again though, Chuck delivers a wonderful scathing, entertaining and interesting review of some of the worst of Trek. Here's me waiting for next week's episode with bated breath.
