This is definately one of the better reviews, especially in regards to the Ethical Dilemma and comments in regards to the historical allagory (i took a course on Antisemitism and the Holocaust and i can not agree with chuck more on that matter).

The solution to this episode reminds me of the first Season on BSG. Where Adama dissolves the tribunal and refuses to punish tyrol because "You keep my planes flying. I need my planes to fly"

Possibly the one time Adama and Janeway would agree on something? Other than airlock traitors and shooting mutineers anyway.

I think they did a better job on this one than they did on "Jetrel", where they bad guy sticked the villain to remove the grey area in the story. Without seeing the episode itself, I don't know what more to say about they handled the grey area of using information from a doctor who took part in inethical human experimentation in order to save a life.

Um no they are not. The episode is clearly stacked so that the obvious conclusion is that the data shouldn't be used.
First there is the anthropomorphization of the data: the data itself is given a personality in the form of Crell Mosset hologram. Ultimately the hologram itself "admits" to performing evil experiments and then attempts to justify it. How the hell would the hologram know about those crimes? If it did know then what was the interrogation about? Shouldn't there be "WANTED FOR CRIMES AGAINST SENTIENCE" flag in the Starfleet file about him?
Crell Mosset hologram should've been a sophisticated, but completely emotionless, diagnostic tool that didn't know or comprehend anything outside the scope of exobiology.
By giving the hologram personality of a real criminal scientist the data is attacked based on its evil personality that data actually doesn't possess.

Secondly the patient doesn't want the treatment thus further making it easier for the audience to agree with the notion that such data shouldn't be used. What if the patient wanted to live? What if it was a small child crying and begging to live? And its mother begging for the cure to be used? How would that change the way audience viewed Belanna's and Tabor's insistence that the data be disallowed?

Ultimately the episode vindicates Belanna's first instinct that Cardassians are scum and not to be trusted while at the same time making the Doctor look foolish and naive for claiming the outward appearance has no bearing on the situation thus basically justifying racist prejudice against Cardassians. (Even their holograms are evil!)

Um no they are not.

You're confusing a comment made on two specific back-to-back scenes as an assessment of the entire episode. Whether or not you feel the episode as a whole is balanced, Krell presents his argument strongly, then the Bajoran does as well, before moving forward on to what action should be taken. Thus both are presented equally before the episode moves on from the point where that quote is taken.
