I have an interesting thing to post…a ST show came on Science Channel tonight…and it had George Lucas talking on Star Trek. Apparently before SW came out he would go to ST conventions, and loved the show. And still does evidently. What is funny about it is this…Gene Roddenberry’s son is the one doing the show…and the last question he asked Lucas was what he felt about SW vs. ST. And of course Lucas took the diplomatic answer…he says he stay’s far away from the fansites and could care less what people think. He actually said that anything could happen in the odd situation where the Enterprise meets the Millennium Falcon (what Roddenberry Jr. asked). Which while we know what would happen (bye bye Enterprise…) we don’t want people like Darkstar hearing about this…they would take that as Lucas saying he doesn’t want to admit that the Falcon would lose…
That being said, I like the show, and while it was odd to hear Lucas talking on ST it was still fun. Oh well...there was a small clip of Roddenberry talking on SW too.The rest of the show was good too. I would highly recommend watching it should you have the time and it comes on again (it’s called Trek Nation).
