More ENT B.S.: season finale

Post by seanrobertson »

Spoiler space, for those who care...

A bit more!

Okay...from what I've read, the season two finale, "The Expanse," features the Klingons again. A Klingon named Duras (no, that's not the bad part...keep on reading), who has a run-in with Archer in a couple of episodes coming in April and May (U.S.), is out to get the NX-01.

Apparently, this Duras, or the Klingons at least, attack Earth as well, blowing up something around Florida and Cuba.

WHOOPS! Right after the Breen hit Earth in DS9, General Martok commented, "Even my people never struck Earth!"

Fucking B&B 'tards. They have no excuse to not know what happened in the final six episodes of DS9!

I think that kind of stupid slip-up would be better than the time travel aliens blasting Cuba, though.

The Borg, cloaking Romulans, phaser-like weapons, FERENGI...who wants to bet that Q, Species 8472, the Hirogen, and Jem'Hadar will make an appearance next season? ;) God Almighty...

The escape clause for those wishing to patch up continuity is already there.

MARTOK
We must give the enemy credit.
To launch an attack against
Starfleet Headquarters. Even my
people never attempted that.
We've learned one thing about the
Breen today, captain. They're a
race of warriors.

Very good, Darkling...thanks for the assist. That is an escape clause, though it does still seem a bit odd to me. I wonder, if the Klingons are responsible for this attack, why *didn't* they blast SF HQ?

Btw, where can one find online scripts of Trek these days? The last time I found DS9 scripts on Michael's main site was probably a year ago.

Probably because it didn't exist. Why build something as huge as SF HQ when you only have a few low warp ships?

Well, yeah, but no :)

I wasn't thinking of something huge, necessarily, but Starfleet HQ in San Francisco does exist, and one would think that, if a Klingon is out for revenge against Archer, he'd be keen to attack a Starfleet-type target; i.e., San Francisco.

I am probably jumping the gun in complaining about this "inconsistency" at this point, since I wouldn't put it beyond B&B to have any number of 24th century bad guys responsible for the big explosion that occurs around FL and Cuba.

I bet they'll show an intact LA sometime during Enterprise's run. Remember how they mentioned "The Great Hermosa Quake" in Voyager?

It's Enterprise. What's the point in getting mad anymore?

seanrobertson: You didn't hear about that by any chance from Trektoday did you? Because there's nothing at Star Trek.com about it the last ep. they have is called

FIRST FLIGHT
Production Number: 050
Original Airdate: 05.14.03
While Enterprise is investigating what appears to be a dark matter nebula, Archer receives news that A.G. Robinson, his old rival in the early days of the NX test program, has died. During a shuttlepod mission into the dark matter phenomenon, Archer reminisces to T'Pol about the time he and Robinson were pilots competing for the honor of being the first to break the Warp 2 barrier.

I'm not saying it doesn't exist yet, you never know with B&B but if Trektoday said it it could be Bullshit.

I want to add that I don't get what all the problems are with the continuity of Enterprise the Ferengi and the Nausicaan featured in two ep. were never said in any Trek series before it about when the Star Fleet or Federation first encountered them and the Ferengi never said who they were also the First contact between the Klingons and Humans that was disasterous might refer to Earth trying to get the Klingons to join the Federation. If you'd take time to watch the show you might start to enjoy it more and see that B&B are doing a really good job with it and the time line is at the moment still holding up just fine.

Isn't there going to be an episode where they rehash ST VI with Archer being tried by the Klingon and sent to Rurah Pente? I think it comes shortly after the Borg episode.

Weird thing is (and this is not a racial remark, so please don't take it this way) I always thought the TOS Klingons kinda resembled Mexicans from a Tijuana truck stop.

How fast do you want to be flamed kid?
:D

That won't be necesary, but if you notice I did say "The time line is holding up for now" Besides they never mentioned on screen when the first contact was with the Klingons, or any of the other aliens we have seen so far and as for the Ferengi they never said what they were to the Enterprise crew.

Besides you have to admit next to Voyager it's the best, I'll settle for anything after 7 years of that crap. This is also coming from a fan who said back in '96 they need to take Trek off the air. Good or bad B&B have to milk the "cash cow" for all it's worth after all.

I think we all understand that. The general consensus here, you will find, is that B&B suck at milking.

With all the complaints about America-centrism in ST, I'm surprised they didn't have the Klingons shooting at Paris or Tokyo...
