Does anyone know the numbers for the Cardassians during the Occupation? Station personnel, Starships present in system, and troops on the planet?
I am working on a writing project and was wondering if anyone could help me with the background there.

Thanks.

I don't think that any of that info was given in DS9 but maybe in a book, but that is not cannon so...

Well, it's safe to assume that they had a whole lot of troops there. The Bajorans were not so advanced but they were determined and hard to break. The Cardies kicked their asses, but with a sizable force I'm sure.

Cardies had to occupy an entire planet. Granted, not a particularly advanced planet, but a planet full of people who hated their guts. In the later episodes of DS9 (I think 'The Changing Face of Evil'), someone mentions a Cardassian army division having 500'000 troops. So maybe they deployed a whole division to Bajor, calling upon reinforcements as needed?

For Bajor your looking at an occupation Army of probably around a million troops, remember the Cardies control the high orbitals so out and out battle is nigh impossible for the resistance and the presence of Terek Nor means that reinforcements could quickly be transported to almost any point on the planet so a massive Army is not really necessary. Also in the event of a plante wide rebellion , reinforcemrnts from Cardassia are only a few days away.
