Exile (New Series idea)

Post by Rye »

Well, i've had this idea for a while...basically the borg, or species 8472 or a new species invades earth.

The entire human race has to run, and the set up base somewhere new, and plan how to get earthand the rapidly being conquered federation space back.

They devise all sorts of new weaponry, ships, and basically give everything a big overhaul.

Everything would have a more militaristic feel to it, and a genuine feel of guerrilla warfare, with the federation as the guerrillas for a change.

The new captain will be an admiral of a small group of ships, he'll be a take no prisoners type, seen too many atrocities to act like Janeway and her ilk (we of course see her ship being destroyed in the pilot feature length episode).

The captain's vessel is a prototype, with new federation fighters in stock, and no frills technology, bar the new superweapon(four warp nacelles pointing to a specific point in space, more specifics to be thought out...).

The series has a 5 year arc, with many a twist along the way, and a focus on long term continuity, and the birth of a new UFP.

Yep. But crusade wasn't done too well, plus i hated the music. And then the only lasting 13 episodes thing...it should either be done again, or in another form or something...

Also, the humans aren't really the heart of the ISA where they are in UFP. So there would be lots of tense political situations, a nomadic human race, and all sorts.

Plus there'd be all the trek tech...and a building up from the ashes of a new UFP. I think it'd be cool anyway.

How about ST:Blake's 7. B&B could use the scripts from the British Sci-fi series Blake's 7 for a new series. With minor rewrites to fit the series into the ST universe, it would be better then either we seen from them so far.

The premise sounds a lot like Battlestar Galactica.
I prepared Explosive Runes today.

BECAUSE ITS BEEN DONE!

you want a good ST plot you should concentrate on the criminal underbelly.

Sounds good, even if other shows have done it, I would still
watch. This idea being set in the Trek universe sounds highly
interesting.
The thought of this story already being made into a fanfic,
probably true. When I read fanfics, I always see stuff I thought
I had thought of, for my own eventual fanfic.
Perhaps somebody will come up with a brand new idea sometime.

I know, i heard the story idea, and thoguht "that's great" i watched it and thought "wtf".

So i would have to have complete creative control over this to make sure it doesn't get b & b'd up.

I'd make it all grim and worrying, following the novel style of writing...what is it...something like; set up (where we find out how everything is, and everything gets to how it is). build up, even more build up, climax, denuement(sp), and then the ending, setting up for new series.

It is pretty good, but the story would be better if he comes from a splinter group and the Federation is a bunch of polis-type gocernments.
