You're kinda late with this news. It was confirmed weeks ago.

Will they be pale, blue skinned borg or ugly, warty skinned borg?

This bothers me. All the Borg in ST:FC were destroyed. I can buy one or two Borg surviving the Quantum Torpedoes hitting their ship, but not that they then survived the consequent entrance into the atmosphere and then slamming into the ground at orbital speeds.
It just shows how desperate Paramount is, that they are willing to rehash anything, no matter how implausible or contradictory, in order to make the meters on their Nealson boxes drop a little slower.

I wonder if they're going to kidnap Archer. And make him a Borg with a name like Locutus.

From what I can tell from the pictures, it looks like a slight combination of both. Maybe they just look more pasty and..."normal" without all that funky green lighting from their ships.

Well, here rest the last great villians of ST. May they assimalate death in peace.

If I remember correctly Picard was the first to find the borg I think I'm wrong but I do know that they didn't know about the Borg during Kirk's time this leaves me to believe that they are going to destroy enterprise or B&B are going to fuck with star trek even more as usual

They will probably have a Q remove the memories and data of the incidient.
That is how I intend to explain all of Ent. No one remembers anything of that cursed ship.

Then I guess there is no point to the series other than to invoke the Wrath of GR's ghost

Or the wrath of God, but don't hold your breath, God isn't angered easliy. Look at how long Voy. lasted.

God, they are just taking this shit farther and farther into the bowels of stupidity. I wish I could kick Berman and Bragga's ass.

Well it seems that B & B think that The Borg will save any series. When ratings slip bring out the borg! Everyone loves the Borg! Does it mater that it does not fit into the proper timeline, no!
Oh good grief

With any luck, the ENT series run will wrap up with a casuality violation caused by the Suliban, thus resetting the timeline to its normal course.
Of course, I think C-3PO summed up the possibility of that happening when he stated that the odds were 3,720 to 1 against.

Ten bucks says that Archer cuts a deal with the Borg.

Oh, not only will he cut a deal with the Borg, he will also do it with the Queen! You know it's going to happen...

I just watched the preview on that link, not only are the Borg present, looking like the VOY Borg... But they have assimilation tubule needle thingies coming out of their hands.
Pre-TNG Borg would still fucking be using surgical assimilation techniques!
Nice one B&B, total fucking idiocy.

That is because the Borg are from the future and thus are VOY era Borg.

Then you'll see the problem in Archer being the first human/captain to have contact with the Borg.

I'm sure Q'll appear at the end of the episode and erase everyones memory so that they don't remeber the Borg when they appear 200 years later. Or some other dumb shit B&B will pull outta their ass. Or even better, they won't, and the fans will just have to live with this glaring continuity error for all time.
Yeah, that sounds more like them.

And then there's the Borg in a ship to ship battle! Why isn't the Enterprise obliberated on the first hit?

I already said that, but I hope it happens. This may not be all that out of context, with the fact that the beacon in FC was transmiting before it was destroyed, but then the Borg would have shown up at the end of the movie in force.
Here are my ideas on wy thisa episode couldn't actually happen.
First, it crashed into Antarica when it was blown up over North America.
Second, you don't see large chucks of debris, and even still, the Sphere is a very small ship anyway, so nothing really could have surived reentry.
Third ,wouldn't they have killed themselves when they were cutoff from the Collective or at least tried to make friends with the locals.
Fourth, with all of the advanced sensors, the wreakage should have been found by the Vulcan science team at the end of FC.
Five, they would have healed themselves well before this time and would have tried to make the beacon again.
They better find a way around all of this.

I thought the beacon was powering-up, not transmitting. Could be my mistake.

Hmm, I don't know how tough Borg hulls are exactly, but maybe they could've survived re-entry.
Admiral Johnason wrote:Third ,wouldn't they have killed themselves when they were cutoff from the Collective or at least tried to make friends with the locals.
"Suicide is irrelivent," "Making friends is irrelivent." Besides, I doubt there's many people to make friends with in the Antarctic, save a research team or two.
Admiral Johnason wrote:Five, they would have healed themselves well before this time and would have tried to make the beacon again.
Nah, I don't think so. What would they make it from, ice?
Admiral Johnason wrote:They better find a way around all of this.
I'm sure they will, and I'm sure it'll be lame. I'll watch anyway.

IIRC those torpedoes smashed the sphere to shit, blasting it into billions of tiny fragments. I don't any pieces of debris would survive re-entry.
And even if it did, how would the Borg drones survive the impact with the ground?
