I edited your list and i snipped noway out and replaced Dukat by Damar.

What about Kang, Koloth and Kor?

My favorite Star Trek captian is KIRK!

He has class, skill and is good at pulling solution literally out out of his hat

That last one is Captain Morgan Bateson of the USS Bozeman. He is really cool in the novel Ship of the Line.

Also, while I like Spock as a character (a crew such as that of the NCC1701 really needed a "voice of reason")... I can't envision him commanding a ship.

I was really disappointed with Janeway. I really wanted the first female Captain to be memorable...just not in the psychopathic schizophrenic way. Captain Garrett from "Yesterday's Enterprise", even with the small glimpse we were afforded, was a much better example, in my opinion.

Star Trek captains I like:
Kirk, Spock, Picard (Stewart did the best he could with the character) and Jellico.

I pick Kirk, Picard, and Sisco.

If Kirk can get his shirt ripped, he is godly.

Secondend. Sure Maxwell went off the deep end, but he had a loyal crew and knew how to fight his ship. Jellico on the other hand is one tough son of a bitch who can get the job done and knows how to "Negoatiate" with a warship.
