I love this quote:
"We went to the 10 'Star Trek' films and saw that two of the most popular movies, 'Star Trek IV' with the whales and 'Star Trek XIII' with the Borg, which Brannon and I were involved with, had to do with saving Earth," Berman said. "It's the first time in a 'Star Trek' series that we're taking on a mission besides exploring space."
And this one:
"We've discussed bringing back Q (John de Lancie); it's possible," Berman said, referring to the all-powerful alien on "The Next Generation."
They know they want those precious, precious ratings, so they're going to try to copy chunks of what worked in the past, while retaining their ironfisted control over the writing and direction

Didnt know where to put it since one guy compared the xindi in that episode to Amrerica attacking Iraq.

Yeah, but it's a pretty weak comparison. The article is most useful for its quotes about the direction of Enterprise.

I feel that the Xindi story arc sounds more like a rip off of the old anime series Space Cruiser Yamato (Star Blazers if you saw the bastardised US incarnation) than anything else.

But the Gamelons didnt stop with one attack .They litterally were trying to kiill mankind the Xindi hmmmph That was an attack???
Also IMO Space Crusier Yamato (( saw it here as Starblazers)) looks better that Akiraprise

Meh, details like that don't really matter. In the general plot and theme, it sounds too much like SCY to ignore the similarity in my opinion.

Technically the translation
would be
Space Battleship Yamato, except that the creators have said that the official English title is
Space Cruiser Yamato.

Methinks the Drej attack was slightly more effective than the Xindi attack.

Did they forget working on DS9 during the Dominion War multi-season arc already? I wish I could.
I'll forego all of the episodes where Earth was in direct jeopardy in the various series, since those could be considered events rather than a full mission per se.
I also notice that TWOK conveniently missed their list. I also think the contention that TVH worked because Earth was in jeopardy is pretty specious.
