SD.net crews a Federation starship

What kind of tom-foolery would ensue?

Hilarity?

Utter and total destruction?

"Hey, arent the holodeck floors supposed to be black?"

Will the crew watch in awe as SolidSnake unveils his care-bear army?
Will slipping on the holodeck floors become a running gag?
Will the ship survive longer than 15 minutes?
Will the ship turn into a loveshack with our grand total of 3 female members?

Well one problem can be solved in that everyone on the Board can be an officer.

I expect 75% or more of us would prom ply jump into the escape pods and get away from the deathtrap.

If it were a GCS, I would promptly take command, use my advanced knowledge of it's abilities to whip Starfleet and it's shitty combat tactics, and promptly take over the Federation, bringing it to heel.

Then of course some fucker with a Constitution scores a lucky shot and we all have to abandon ship because the goddamn warp core went critical and wouldn't eject...

Hey, for all you know it could be a reliable, well built vessel like an old Constitution or Miranda class.

Fuck that. I'm outta there ASAP. I might grab a phaser with which to amuse myself on the ground.

A third will bail, a third will enter the holodeck and may never be seen again, and the last third will use the weapons to take over the Earth, then have a civil war onboard.

A fine voyage!

And I'm now Admiral of the Fleet. Open fire on the UN, France and Brussels immediately.

Good grief. How long would it take us to figure out the technology? Cause after that we'd have to go through the whole damn thing from top to bottom fixing the multitudinous design flaws.

Then maybe we could sneak off into some forgotten corner of Federation territory and start a new capitalist, democratic state; we'd probably be overrun with immigrants in a short time.

Even assuming that the members of the board are fully briefed in the operation of the equipment, matters would be far from simple. Merely assigning billets and positions in the chain of command would qualify as a Herculean effort -- surely, everyone would be willing to be Commanding or Executive Officer, but what of the heads of departments and division officers? What of the personnel serving in the departments and divisions?

Given that many of the people here tend to have exceedingly high opinions of their own capabilities (sometimes justifiably, sometimes not), a StarDestroyer.Net-operated starship could very well end up as the Alpha-Plus island mentioned in Brave New World: Too many leaders.

Don't worry, there are probably enough of us with low self-esteem and responsibility issues to give a decent enlisted component. I for one know that I am in no way ready to be a leader of men.

hmmm a GCS from the DS8 era wiould do and let us all fit on, Mike as Captain he then distributes baseball bats for us to decide on the lower ranks

and anyone who uses the baseball bats instead of acquiring better weaponry is immediately demoted to said lower ranks.

I don't think it's a good idea to put SDN on such a fragile ship. Once someone conjures up an AT-AT from the holodeck we're done for.

Except for the guy who goes to the engine room with his baseball bat and threatens to smash anything that looks interesting if order doesn't show up pretty quickly.
