I rather liked this episode. Not full of stupid technobabble bullshit but social interactions. It was pretty good.

Yeah, Enterprise does put out a few good episodes now and again, it is just overshadowed by some of the crap-bombs they more regularly put out.

"Cogenitor" is also an excellent episode. Just like "Carbon Creek", it's more about characters, which is also handled very well. Perhaps the most touching ENT episode so far.

Bah, the ending was horrible. Archer's a fucking idiot. One...thing?...commits suicide and suddenly he's write, despite the fact he murdered billions in "Dear Doctor."

I also liked Carbon Creek, one could almost make a joke after seeing
this episode" Two Vulcans walk into a bar...."
One thing I did not approve of was them undercutting the official
first contact between Cochrane and the Vulcans. But, what can you
really do about it......

perhaps this incident was the reason they sent the ship to survey the Solar System to begin with? You know, to monitor human progress since the late 50s

That is a good point, the Federation has done that on several planets
it makes sense that the Vulcans were doing it long before there even
was a Federation.

Those billions aren't dead yet. They've still got about a decade before the treatment Archer game them starts to lose its effectiveness. Plenty of time for them to find a cure on their own, or for
Enterprise to return with the original cure. This is pretty far from the situation in Homeward.
