Funny how the ship is intact.
Get your fill of sci-fi, science, and mockery of stupid ideas

Structure is entirely intact.Gil Hamilton wrote:Except for the gaping hole in the back that's venting fire and smoke.Alyeska wrote:Funny how the ship is intact.
How exactly do you have giant gouts of flame erupting out the entire back of something with a large break in the hull?Alyeska wrote:Structure is entirely intact.
Flames were photoshoped onto a perfectly intact Defiant model.Gil Hamilton wrote:How exactly do you have giant gouts of flame erupting out the entire back of something with a large break in the hull?Alyeska wrote:Structure is entirely intact.
This has sod all to do with what? The Yosemite Bear wrote:Same as the perfectly intact we can just up and fly it away saucer section in Generations....
Obviously, but they are still erupting out the back of it. Clearly, the Defiant got that plane on it's six and got it's ass shot off.Alyeska wrote:Flames were photoshoped onto a perfectly intact Defiant model.
I think its not entirely intact, there is a hole on the ship look close to the ground a dark spotAlyeska wrote:Structure is entirely intact.Gil Hamilton wrote:Except for the gaping hole in the back that's venting fire and smoke.Alyeska wrote:Funny how the ship is intact.

hence the refrence in the past by distorters of fact on the Trek side that the Saucer section was "Perfectly Intact"Gil Hamilton wrote:Obviously, but they are still erupting out the back of it. Clearly, the Defiant got that plane on it's six and got it's ass shot off.
Those people could at least reference to the front of the saucer litteraly slicing through mountains to indicate hull integrity. The Yosemite Bear wrote:Alyeska wrote:This has sod all to do with what? The Yosemite Bear wrote:Same as the perfectly intact we can just up and fly it away saucer section in Generations....Alyeska wrote:

Watch the last scene in Generations where Data finds Spot. The hull is clearly ripped open very broadly, as that entire compartment was in broad daylight.Alyeska wrote:Those people could at least reference to the front of the saucer litteraly slicing through mountains to indicate hull integrity.
Strange how the hull of the ship imediately after the crash was very much intact. No damage shown to any portions of the ship that tore through the mountain and hills. The forward windows all survived the crash. Even the shot of the shuttles on the saucer show absolutely no damage.Gil Hamilton wrote:Watch the last scene in Generations where Data finds Spot. Never saw this, can't comment.Besides, Federation hulls can be ripped open by angry bugged eyed monsters in zero gravity (a S8472 did it and in zero gravity, there is very little leverage). They just aren't that strong.
Do you have anything meaningful to add or are you just trying to post flame bait material?SPOOFE wrote:Careful, guys! Alyeska's gonna do his dreaded "Stick fingers in ears and hum the TNG theme" maneuver! Take cove-e-e-e-errrr!

It was a subsequent episode, when a wounded S8472 straggler was being hunted down by Hirogen.Alyeska wrote:I have seen Scorpion. I do not recall S8472 loose on the ship and tearing apart the hull.
I'm not sure either, but it did bust trough corridor walls.Alyeska wrote:I have seen Scorpion. I do not recall S8472 loose on the ship and tearing apart the hull.Montcalm wrote:Star Trek voyager: Scorpion Species 8472Alyeska wrote: Never saw this, can't comment.
Try to keep a leash on your urges to antagonize Alyeska. We have a rule about vendettas.SPOOFE wrote:Careful, guys! Alyeska's gonna do his dreaded "Stick fingers in ears and hum the TNG theme" maneuver! Take cove-e-e-e-errrr!

Perhaps more objective examples, like the one's Alyeska has submitted, are far more reliable sources to gauge Federation hull strength.Gil Hamilton wrote: Besides, Federation hulls can be ripped open by angry bugged eyed monsters in zero gravity (a S8472 did it and in zero gravity, there is very little leverage).
