First Contact is Vulcan invading Earth, Cochrane turns the tide and Vulcan tech is taken.
Women wear tank top uniforms.
Archer is a grouch.
Tholians are giant cockroaches who don't need communication transmitters.
Obviously a near-series ending dog blood spill.

This week's Enterprise, so far it's still showing the Mirror universe.

Wait, the Vulcans invade a planet that is in ruins and has one shitty converted missile warp ship and they LOSE!?

How the hell can the Tholians be giant cockroaches? That'd mean they'd be giant cockroaches in the regular universe, too...

Did anyone really give a hang how the mirror universe happened? I don't know what's worse, that they took an episode out to explain this away or, that from now on, whenever we watch Mirror, Mirror and it's DS9 sequels, we'll marvel at how lame the mirror Vulcans are.

It was in dialogue, and its in the Mirror Universe, so it's kind of hard to determine the details.
And now we know where the NCC-1764 Defiant ended up
Next week: Mirror Enterprise Crew wearing TOS uniforms!!
Edit:

Dunno, I've never watched "Tholian Web", but I have to say, the CGI effects on the Tholian used in this eps is very, very, very , heathenly crappy.

Did the Mirror Vulcans in TOS, DS9 still have mind melds and talked about being logical? Mirror T'Pol used mind meld and at least mentioned being "logical". (Though her actions didn't seem much logic based.)

This episode was quite interesting, can't wait for part 2
Why in the Hell couldn't this be the setting for the entire series?

Well it will be a while before I see this, but many on a certain Trek board I occasionally lurk on are wanking away that this was the best episode of Enterprise EVER. Ahem.
Hmm, mirror universe, a classic connie, tholians, webs... this sounds like it'd have made a better finale.

I think the main point is those tanktops. Obviously you pull the zipper and...
(And next week we get to see T'Pol in TOS miniskirt)
B&B are selling out every nostalogia.

Did anyone besides me love the redo of the Opening Credits? Gotta Love the Starfleet Draka!
Only one thing i did not like, why must the lights flicker on and off whenever alot of power is drawn from the main reactor?

It fits. Everything fits. And the intro offers proof that the MU existed before The time of First Contact. And as far as the Tholians go, they look like a more angular version of 8472 then roaches.

It was a pretty entertaining episode. Anyone know who wrote this episode? Coto, some other guy or was it B&B?

I think its just because they had so many ships with which to spin it.
This was really a decent episode, although they really overblew Phlox's sadism and, as always, Travis gets squat in the way of lines.
The opening sequence was great, if only because it lacked that godawful song.

I loved the redo of the opening credits. It's so much cooler than "Faith of the Heart." You get to see humans taking their first steps into the new frontier-and utterly bitchslapping those who stand in their way! A real "cowboys and indians" take on ST.
Generally the acting sucks ass, but Archer's pretty good. He plays the roll very well. I'd actually be much more willing to follow Evil Archer into battle than Regular Archer! In a way I find myself liking the Terran Empire better than the Federation in some ways. No lovvy-dovvy flower-child shit; these are twenty-second century conquistadors. I really like how this
Enterprise has a real military feel.
But there are some huge problems, starting with some of the awful characterizations. Phlox was especially noxious-and not in a good way. Get him the fuck out of that stupid leather shit and loose the leer-it's downright comical! And another thing: he's always vivesecting something. WTF is there a giant room full of animals on the ship so he can cut up a new one every three hours?
The only good actor was Scott Bakula-and that was only half the time (he played the roll well but he was struggling against the most ridiculous dialog the whole time). They were scripted as fucking comic book villains-it was genuinely amusing half the time. Oh yeah, and the whole plot is fairly retarded.
And what the bleeding fuck is with those midriff bearing uniforms. This pisses me off. The conquering warriors are striding across the galaxy in
that? Can you imagine demanding somebody's unconditional surrender while wearing one of those things? Their enemies would die laughing! Jesus, show the ladies a little respect you stupid little fuckers!
And, oh yeah, tell me again how we supposedly beat the Vulcans?

Yes, I suppose that was all well and good for the sixties, but this is the twenty-first century. Just give them a unisex uniform for God's sake. I reiterate: can you imagine leading your troops in something like
that? For a military officer that thing is just embarrassing.

Hey, maybe they
are the Draka, after they conquered the world. The timeline must have diverged at some point after all, and it's as likely a genesis for the Mirror Universe as any. You'll notice that whatever organization eventually became the TE was already around at the time of the moon landing. And you have to admit the Snakes and the TE do have some tantalizing similarities.

They don't...
Do you think the snakes would have ASIAN or BLACK Officers? And were is the Symbol of the Domination (Dragon holding a Bushknife and a Slave Chain) or people saying "SERVICE TO THE STATE" and "GLORY TO THE RACE" and whatnot?
For this statement, you have been deamed Mentally unstable by the Imperial Terran Ministry of Health, and shall undergo corrective nerve stapling. Have a Nice Day.
