A very few Nemesis revelations

Post by Howedar »

1. Phaser rifles now have sights (visually identical to reflex sights, used for quick target acquisition at close quarters IRL).
2. Hand weapons are apparently handed out before battle at least occasionally.
3. Type-2 phasers now have slightly better ergonomics.
4. Type-2 phasers seem to fire bursts now? I don't remember seeing a single beam hand weapon in the whole movie.

Just a few things I noticed.

Try this revelation from a Trekker friend of mine (I think she was kidding, and stringing me along):

Data's destroyed body was never shown at the end of the movie, so there is a chance the original Data could come back.

My response has usually been along the lines of, "The ship was blown into very small pieces. That Data is destroyed."

It is no longer impossible to use weapons and shields while under cloak. Unfortunately, the only ship to demonstrate this ability is now destroyed.
I prepared Explosive Runes today.

Never assume someone's dead until you've seen the body, and even then you might make a mistake.

For the love of porn, Data completely downloaded his memories into B-4. Thats how, if at all, he'll be coming back.

Also, a couple of things I noticed, Worf was on the E-E cause of Diana and Riker wedding. This would probly be considered vacation time. Yet he was serving routine work on the bridge. Might be that he just wanted to do his old posistion(although he's never offically been assigned to the E-E... I think, I don't remember how their plot hole to get him on the E-E in ST:I. Also, did they change the metal sash thingie Worf wears? Why? Isn't it a great honor thing or something, I don't really remember.

Phasers are now stored in bulkheads throughout the Enterprise, ready for attack by people with transprters.(at least as much as a feddie soldier can)

Oh, by the way, I believe that the type 2 phasers still fire single beams. At the end of the movie, Data fired into that energy stream that destroyed the Reman ship. The phaser fired using a single energy beam.

Probably just a different setting. Like full auto and 3-shot burst modes on modern assault rifles.
It is not well for one to trifle in the affairs of the ancient Chinese generals, for they have a tendency to send armies of tens of thousands of warriors after those who challenge them.

Phaser rifles are very fragile.

The rear launcher fires photons. 2 launchers underneath the engineering section can also fire photons.
