Why can't people aim straight?!?

Throughout the whole movie, I had to wonder how they could've missed shots 5 meters away... I mean, cmon! Then there's the fact that they miss repeatedly at that range. Any 9 year old kid who's played FPSs before would have better aim.

Given the whole thinking that most of Trek seems to follow...and their woeful military I say a group of Paintball fanatics are better shots than the best the Federation could offer.

I would agree, but be cautious. We are fans of the franchise with the "Greedo incident"... Damn you GL!

Yeah, well, that's one clumsy bounty hunter in six total movies. Compare to the Stormtroopers, who managed to consistently get snapshots at long ranges (with the occasional miss)... or the clonetroopers, who were also good shots... or Han Solo... or Leia...

Anyone 15 or older with a modern submachine gun or small caliber combat rifle would own the crew of the E-E or the Remans.

A Palestinian 10 year old boy throwing rocks would defeat an Enterprise crewman in battle.

I'm not sure I'd be willing to take it quite that far, but you have a point...

At last! Continuity in modern Star Trek. Following on from the trends set in DS9 where trained security personnel can miss slow moving targets at 5m range, they have lovingly recreated this non-skill at arms in the Movies. Who says B&B don't use continuity?

The safest place to be in Star trek is in front of their weapons, as they can't shoot for toffee.

*jaeger115's ship burns through the paper-thin hull of the E-E. He drops in and all hell break loose. A half-hour later the whole crew is dead.

Or soldiers on crack. My mother shoots better than Federation soldiers (literally).
