A new fight I *think* no one has done yet...Durge vs Odo

Post by Praxis »

Well, I don't *think* anyone has done this one yet, so hopefully it won't get locked this time :D

The reason I'm pretty sure this hasn't been done is because it's a fairly new character.

Durge fights Odo, or perhaps a stronger changeling. Who wins?

If you don't know who Durge is, he was in a couple of the Clone Wars episodes, but you don't really find out who he is until he gets blown up in Episode 9 and comes out without his armor in his true form and fights with Obi-wan...

You can watch the episode here http://progressive1.stream.aol.com/turn ... bc4_dl.mov
or if you're too lazy or have a slow connection take a look at these pics I took of the episode: http://gflpraxis.no-ip.com/durgepics.jpg

Basicly, he can stetch out really far and move really fast like Odo in his liquid form, but his body is a lot tougher (withstood a bazooka-like blast from a Clone Trooper, dozens of blaster hits, and regenerated after a lightsaber strike), and he can't change into other creatures and forms like Odo.

Who would win?[/url]

So sorry bout the above post, I was trying something and I messed up sorry. Can a mod please delete it?

On the thread topic. Durge has some powerful weapons that could do damage very quickly to Odo. Since he can rebuild himself, which is very helpful, he is virtually indestructable by Odo. Odo can change his form so thats could do damage?

I had similar thoughts...

Odo could probably change forms to do more damage than Durge. But Durge could probably take more damage, as Changelings are surprisingly weak...when Odo was unconsciously terrorizing DS9, a laser scalpel hurt him in his liquid form, and whenever he gets hit in the head by a rock or punch, he gets knocked out (makes no sense since he is liquid)...

So would Odo be able to beat up Durge before Durge could slam him? Dunno :?

I think Odo getting knocked out easy is a side effect of his limited shapeshifting abilities. He probably puts in to much attention to detail, i.e makes soft tissue to get zonked on.

Now, the OP also mentioned a stronger changeling.

Imagine what Laz could do in a fight with Durge. The guy could become fire and mist/vapor and could become organisms capable of FTL flight.

Wow, Laz vs Durge. A fight Star Trek actually has a change of winning!

I've never heard of Laz...but I do remember Odo talking about how other changelings are probably a lot more powerful than him.

It'd be one heck of a fight...
As I understand it, changelings are still weaker than Durga (a phaser blast should be able to do hurt a changeling pretty bad, though a good changeling could avoid getting hit pretty well...Durge took dozens of blaster hits, and a star wars bazooka hit that would have turned anything else into a smoking crater...), but this Laz would probably be able to deal out a lot more damage than Durge would.

Wonder how a Jedi would do against him...but thats a fight for another day, lol ;)

Dang, I should have made this thread a poll...

You mentioned a changeling turning into fire or vapor? If those blaster bolts had no effect, I doubt fire will have much effect on him, but then again, I don't see how you could hurt a being that could turn into fire or vapor...
