Indeed. It looks like the launcher can traverse 90 degrees to either side.Howedar wrote:http://www.shiporama.org/images/sovereign/1701e-59.jpg

I find it to be turret-like.

I'd say that's a turret.
So, 2 main XII phaser arrays (ventral and dorsal), several smaller phasers, 1 rapid fire quantum torpedo turret, 2 photon torpedo launchers, and 1+ rear photon torpedo launcher are the known weapons?

Here is a good shot of the 2 forward photon torpedo launchers.Grand Admiral Thrawn wrote:I'd say that's a turret.

I suppose its possible the E-E was angled just right to fire the torpedoes from its launcher to save the Defiant, then changed course to fly infront of the Defiant.
There is also supossed to be two rear bottom photon torpedo tubes of the same design as the forward ones.

There are supossed to be two of them at the most bottom part of the ship facing aft.

Re: The Sovereign (E-E)
GCSs have 12 arrays. There is one in front of the Battle Bridge.NF_Utvol wrote:1: EntE has 12 Type XII phaser arrays, while the EntD had 11 Type X arrays. This means that the phasers are more powerful than the EntD, but less powerful than ships with higher rated phaser arrays.Vympel wrote:Ok some questions about the E-E
Where do we get our information about it?
1: Are its phasers more powerful?
2: Is the Quantum Torpedo launcher a turret?
3: Does it have Photon Torpedo tubes?
4: Does it have rear photon or rear quantum torpedo tubes?
5: Does it carry families?
6: Where is the Captain's Yacht (the E-D was docked underneath the saucer according to the TM- though was it ever seen in TNG?)
7: Are its shields superior?
Does our information come from canon or speculation?
2. Not sure, but i think so.
3. Photon torps can be launched from Quantum torp tubes, but not vice versa.
4. Yes
5. No
6. On the saucer directly below the bridge on the other side
7. Again, superior to some fed ships, but not all.
Re: The Sovereign (E-E)
Technically yes, but that array is hidden from view and the ship rarely goes into combat in two pieces like that.Uraniun235 wrote:GCSs have 12 arrays. There is one in front of the Battle Bridge.
