Hardcore PETA activists. Seriously, I've met some of these fucks, and they made me feel like I committed an act of genocide for eating a Ham Sandwich.

If one mother lost her child because she stuck him in the drying machine to dry his clothes, then no, I wouldn't feel much if any compassion for her. If another mother had her baby killed because she refused to put her in a child safety seat in the car, I wouldn't feel too sorry for her either. If yet another mother had her child run over by some asshole, I'd have great compassion for her, unless of course she threw her child into the path of the car.

For instance, in Toronto there was a recent case where a mother had her ~7 year old child fall out of an appartment window and die. She knew the window was faulty, she knew it did not lock properly and could be opened wide enough for a child to step through and fall to its death. She knew this for over a fucking year and all she did was complain to her building super that the safety was broken. It literally took one fucking screw and 2 minutes with a screwdriver to fix, and she did jack shit. I didn't feel sorry for her at all.
I'd feel sorry for the kid...

Come to think of it, I don't think this example applies.

The reason you don't feel sorry for her is NOT lack of intelligence. The reason you don't feel sorry for her is CARELESSNESS. Carelessness is her fault- lack of intelligence is not.

If you see a kid struggling in school, trying their best effort, but not doing well, do you feel sorry for them? I would.
Now, if you see a kid struggling in school because they don't care to do the work, do you feel sorry for them? I wouldn't.

See the difference?

And locking.

If one wants to open a topic in SLAM about such, go ahead.

As this topic is now entering the irrelevant

Sometimes we can choose the path we follow. Sometimes our choices are made for us. And sometimes we have no choice at all

Saying and doing are chocolate and concrete
