Everytime I hear a Trek fan say this, I mock them Dr. Evil style. (fingers making quote gesture) "LASER."

I know this is off-topic, but in Peak Performance, the Hathaway and Ent-D were using lasers right?

Going off that, the Ent-D raised its real shields when it thought a Romulan Warbird was coming to attack it, then the Hathaway comes in with guns ablazing. If the Ent-D's shields were up, and the Hathaway was using lasers, why wasn't there any shield interaction?

Or am I just making up the lasers bit? I honestly haven't seen the episode in a while.

those lasers allright, very low power lasers (advanced version of a laser pointer) those hit didn't probaly affect the paint on the E-D.
I may be an idiot, but I'm a tolerated idiot

But if the navigational shields were supposed to stop lasers, why wasn't there shield interaction? I guess I am just confused.

I "wanted" Star Wars to win ever since my 20th Century Philosophy class when a "trekkie" classmate started blabbering on with trek-nobabble during discussions on philosophy of science and philosophy of mind... :x

He even did it with a guest speaker from another college when he did a presentation...

The guest speaker never came back...

Actually, the Borg used a laser beam to cut a slice out of the E-D (like a surgical laser) for examination. The shields did nothing to stop it.

The outcome did not change for me, however the Empire gained a bigger advantage.
"You have no idea how hard I found it signing the order to terminate your life" -Grand Moff Tarkin

"What is death but the natural end to all life?" -Lord Solanaar

"Your life is worthless. What is its purpose? For you, there is no purpose. I suppose you could say that I am being merciful by removing you from this war-torn existence." -Lord Solanaar

"Who is it that decides fate? Could it be that fate... simply doesn't exist?" -Lord Zenithan

"No, they got rid of that after the hippie crusades" -Me

First you confuse me then you steal my word? Why the death wish? -Me
