In regards to your theory Brandon, I had a thought about torpedo glows. Part of the penetration of torpedoes could be thermal and the glow interpreted as the heat of the thermal aspect of whatever mechanism the torpedoes use to assist in penetrating the hull. I.e. the orange photons of TNG/DS9/VGR era would be hotter and more capable of penetration than the red photons of the TMP movies. While blue quantum torpedoes are substantially hotter and visuals could be interpreted as them punching through hulls like a hot knife through butter.

My thoughts are treknolgy ius cool to watrch but would be very boring to live in. Ok more intresting than fun. Alright dammit it sucks make mine Rebel Alliance or NR. Tha liea girl is kinds cute.
