Shadows of the empire force sub.

Han after being frozen in carbonite winds up in San Francisco with the Millenium Falcon, Dash Rendar, Luke, and the Rogue Squadron on their way to rescue him. Can they smash their way through federation defenses, fight the security guards, grab Han and escape?

Smashing through the defenses? Sure. Now, dealing with the large numbers of Star Fleet on the ground will be a bit of a challenge. But with a Jedi Knight, Han and Chewie infiltrating while Rogue Squadron makes strafing runs with Dash Rendar, I see no reason why they couldn't pull off the mission.

Ghetto Edit: I'm an idiot! Han isn't infiltrating, he's frozen. What I meant to say was with him as the target, and his ginormous character shield, the others would be able to pull the mission off. Especially with Chewie's inhuman sense of loyalty.

Can they be nabbed with transporters? Outside their ships, in SF, they should be transportable, yes?

Probably. But since Rogue Squadron will likely be using ECM I don't think that that will be a factor.

I thought ST phasers and torps had power enough to kill SW fighters? I hit and run I can see working, but extended time over the target area to provide EW? Surely they'd be shot down.

When are there ever enough ships around Earth to defend it? And wouldn't Rogue Squadron have a carrier ship of some kind capable of defending them against any larger ST ships long enough to get Han out? Even if they don't, the Millenium Falcon and Dash Rendars ship have shields strong enough to take turbolaser hits IIRC and can run interference on anything the Rogues are unable to handle.

They may take a couple casualties or so, but I doubt very much they would be unable to ultimately pull it off.
