I really want to take a poll: did anyone who saw RotJ honestly think that the Rebels knew the Ewoks were going to attack, and had actually planned it with them in advance?

Of course not. But it would have made a better film, especially if those Rebel insurgents had armed the Ewok irregulars with weaponry. It would have gone along way to accepting the little rascals and their victory.

I'm surprised no one has attempted what Mike suggested a while back by scaling the Lambda in relation to Vader's height, then extrapolating the ISD's size from the opening RotJ scene. Although, Dr. Saxton has already made such a measurement.

It's still amusing, yet frustrating, that they casually dismissed my attempts at scaling a CVN based on a couple of photos despite the fact that I used the same fucking methodology Weyoun used.

Thanks! I did a scaling using the screenshots found on Dr. Saxton's site (following your link), and while the shuttle and the secondary (forward)docking bay works out perfectly, it's the TIEs that some of the people over there will go on about.
The primary docking bay measures 463 px and the TIEs measure 30 px. Since we know that the primary docking bay is 160 meters wide, then the TIEs would be ~10.4 meters tall. It's clearly an F/X gaffe, but you know those people...

The TIEs bugged me as well. I could tell they were too big for the bay. Any way it could be retconned, or explained along with the identical officer rank insignias?
