Does anyone have figures on how many are watching the show?

Well for the UPN Enterprise gets slightly above the network avergae (3%-4% of people in the US with a TV watch enterprise) however other networks (except the WB) wouldn't give those sort of ratings the time of day (especially considering the timeslot) it usually comes 5 out of the 6 networks durnig that timeslot (beating only the WB).
So in short - its ok for the UPN but it is sliding.

Maybe Hoshi needs to take her top off more often.TheDarkling wrote:If you look at ratings either side of vanishing point they are higher, it seems the idea of Vanishing point just wasn't interesting (this weeks episode actually got 4 ish - maybe people like Tucker episodes but dislike Hoshi episodes?)
It might be because the episodes are really bad. Not really the featured characters.
On the other hand, I propose a new series. Star Trek: Sirius. It is all about Porthos. He runs around Enterprise getting into all sorts of mischief. Get it, Sirius, the dog star. Porthos it the star of the show. And he's a, well you get the idea.
And Hoshi could run around trying to find him. In the TOS uniforms.
This would be much more entertaining than Enterprise I have to say.

You'd have to run an analysis on what else was on and see what had a high number of viewers in the same demographic as Enterprise.TheDarkling wrote:I personally think people sure the episode and saw it was a "the next phase" clone and decided not to tune in - it was something of a low point, possibly something on another network?

Their higher, but not much. Shockwave part two, for example, got less than half the ratings of Shockwave part one. The second season as a whole is doing only half as well as the first. If you look at ratings either side of vanishing point they are higher, it seems the idea of Vanishing point just wasn't interesting (this weeks episode actually got 4 ish - maybe people like Tucker episodes but dislike Hoshi episodes?)

Hopefully the sliding ratings will convince UPN to buy Firefly.

Oh and I have a question....what are the ratings scaled to in terms of the audience watching?

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Its great , and would serve as admirable ammo to petition for the termination of B&B who have managed to single handedly what no network could ever do , kill Star Trek......

THATS BECAUSE REPLICATORS HADN'T BEEN INVENTED YET YOUHere's a Gold Pressed Latinum Bar. Go buy a clue.
In the future, gold can be replicated, as has been established numerous times, including the communicator badges being made out of gold, and the Voyager episode that established that Fort Knox has been locked up because of its worthlessness.
Because gold can be replicated, this is why the Ferengis use a similar substitute - Gold Pressed Latinum, which apparently, can not be replicated. Yet in this episode the Ferengis strive to obtain Archer's gold bars. Huh? Why didn't they just replicate 100 gold bars and tell the Ferengi to go screw off?
STUPID SCREWBALL!!

True , his technical background isn't quite up to Sd.Net levels , but he gets it right most of the time. However in "Enterprise" , they do establish that they have near-replicators , just not as sophisticated as TNG era ones. Remeber according to TOS , "Enterprise" era vessels shouldnt have phase-anything for weapons , no view screens as such and the transporter is still just a clever concept. Enterprise fucks the canon info so badly it hurts to even think about it , and the show had such promise when I heard about it.

PROMISE?
The show had no hope, it was doomed form the start, its a B&B production, and they evden write most of the episodes themselves.
As to first TV Drama, I agree in oart with him, but then he compalins about archer wearing a ball cap and i actually defend enterprise, hatred shoudl not blind one.

People aren't. They aren't complete and utter moronic sheep like B&B need to support their show. Almost, but not totally.Dark Primus wrote:I find it amazing and Idiotic that B&B can't find the reason why Enterprise is loosing ratings, they say people weren't ready for Enterprise.

I say the style of Enterprise belongs to the 60' and 70's.neoolong wrote:People aren't. They aren't complete and utter moronic sheep like B&B need to support their show.
