I, for the most part, have only seen rabid Trekkies, arguing in the most dumb ways.Mr Bean wrote:There are a few that are intresting, Don't make blanket statments like thatHow about all Trekkie arguments?
I find all of them annoying.
I'm sure there are calm, logical Trekkies out there, but I have not seen them.
( I mean ones who are into this vs. stuf, not simple fans)

The calm logical ones don't ever get into these debates in the first place because they know the Empire will kick the Federation's sorry ass.Captain tycho wrote:I, for the most part, have only seen rabid Trekkies, arguing in the most dumb ways.Mr Bean wrote:There are a few that are intresting, Don't make blanket statments like thatHow about all Trekkie arguments?

Do normal Trek fans magically turn rabid once they register on boards like these?Darth Servo wrote:The calm logical ones don't ever get into these debates in the first place because they know the Empire will kick the Federation's sorry ass.Captain tycho wrote:I, for the most part, have only seen rabid Trekkies, arguing in the most dumb ways.Mr Bean wrote: There are a few that are intresting, Don't make blanket statments like that

I believe a truly annoying arguent is one that rabid Trekkies never accepted, and still lives to this day, such as the status of the EU. EU status was half of Mike's debate with RSA, and I think RSA only wanted non-canon status for the EU so he could throw one SW advantage out of the window.

Darkstar wants as much evidence as possible removed or disqualified because it's easier to bullshit when there's less hard data to work with. That's the same reason why so many Trekkies are bound and determined to get visuals thrown out too; they want to whittle away at the body of evidence until they can say pretty much whatever they want without fear of being contradicted.Asst. Funny thing is that they assume that Solo had read the introduction blurb when he said thatDarth Akwat Kbrana wrote:There's always the "We can just beam your people out of their ships, and there's nothing they can do to stop us." My second favorite is "THe Empire only has a thousand ships as stated by Han Solo in ANH".
