Rather Insulting

Post by Darth Garden Gnome »

For Christmas UPN is showing Star Trek:V.......Star Trek V......Let it sink in....then watch your skin melt away Raiders-style. A horrible idea if there ever was one, why would you celebrate such a glorious holiday with such a awful, dispicable movie? The Wrath Of Khan would have easily sufficed, to say the least.

They don't want you to avert your attention from the family...
Anyway, it could be worse, they could show TMP, and you would end up falling asleep, and miss Cristhmas altogether

ST V wasn't that bad, hell even TMP was too bad. I would be far more insulted if they play ST: Insurrection. UGH that movie suck balls.

I kinda liked Star Trek V. Compared to some of the more recent ones it really is good. Maybe it's just the Catholic in my that likes the element of God being added to the equation. *hopes everyone will respect my differing OPINION and not flame me for disagreeing with the majority*

Would you rather they show "A Very Voyager Christmas?" Mayb eNeelix learns about "archaic earth customs" and decides to hold a party and Santa Q shows up with presents but the Borg come and try to assimilate Christmas. Fortunately Enisgn Kim has been working on the Captains gift, a phase flux protoni stabilization matrix, it doesn't work but they install it on the Borg ship and all the borg turn into jelly. Santa's sleigh passes them at Warp 9.9 on the way back, but not before having one of his elves plant a thalaron radiation generator in Janeway's quarters.

What's Star Trek: V? There was no such movie as Star Trek:V.
It went
Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Star Trek: The Wrath of Kahn
Star Trek: The Search For Spock
Star Trek: The Voyage Home
Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country
Star Trek: Generations
Star Trek: First Contact
Star Trek: Insurrection
Star Trek: Nemesis

No such movies as Star Trek 5. Next thing you know, you'll be trying to tell me there where sequels to Highlander.

Considering how disconnected most studio execs are from reality, this probably won't happen. Sorry.

Well, it's possible- Joss Whedon has Buffy on UPN, and UPN has expressed interest in picking up Angel, so it could be a two-part deal, plus FF's rating are fairly good for UPN...

that would doom Firefly for good. UPN sucks as a station because not everyone can get UPN.

What a brilliant idea. We're all celebrating the birth of Christ, so what better to show than the Trek crew KILLING GOD? Happy holidays.

Not sure how wide spread this kind of thing is, but my local FOX affiliate shows some UPN programs Sundays, and maybe other days too.

They used to show Teknoman too, till those suited sewer-fuckers cancelled it.

I get it a hell of a lot better than I get FOX. :?

Anyone else think the 2 hour pilot episode for Firefly was good and that they should have started the series with it?

I think my dad would still be watching the show if they had. Maybe others would be too since it seems a lot of the early episodes were very "westernish" (why my dad didn't like that I don't know since he's into westerns).

Hey.

Better Star Trek 5 than any of the TNG movies.
