Yuuzhan Vong vs. Etherians and Borg
seems like it would be a awsome battle to watch. Remember the Etherians are a highly intelegent race, that easily blew up a planet that the Borg had asimalated and. The borg could adapt the sheilds and weaponry on their Cubes to keep up with the Yuuzhan Vong.

Hi. Before posting any further on this matters, please skim over the site attached to the forum, an check the ST VS SW in five minutes numbers.Darth_Nader wrote:seems like it would be a awsome battle to watch. This has been debated many times, you can also use the forum search option. The Borg are weaker by orders of magnitude, in comparison with the SW ships. Check the site and avoid the flames.
Welcome to the forum.
The only major Vong weakness is numbers, which if they were attacking a smaller civilization and not concerned with keeping the populace under control (as would be the case here) would not be an issue.
In terms of weapons power the Vong have an advantage. In terms of production they have an advantage. Ground combat would be about the same as S8472 vs drones. In terms of tricks up their sleeves they have a distince advantage.
Provide an argument as to why the Vong would not Rancor roll over the borg. Feddies could hold out a bit due to inventiveness, but even that has limits.

What is an Etherian? And they blew up a Borg planet?Darth_Nader wrote:seems like it would be a awsome battle to watch. I only ever saw Species 8472 blow up a Borg planet, and
they're mortal enemies to the Borg. They'd never join
them in combat.
Pain, or damage, don't end the world, or despair, or fuckin' beatin's. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, ya got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man ... and give some back.

The Borg are simply too stupid to not get curb stomped by the Vong (although the queen seems able to think yet.... damn I hate B&B), the Feds could pull the tricks the NR pulled but sooner (and more of them) although the Borg do have a numbers advantage.
The Vong start with very few ships, after about a year 3000 is a lot of ships but after two years 10,000 is considered similiar (yet the Warmaster got annoyed he lost one attack prong of 1000 which seemed a little odd to have to have two rather differently sized attack prongs), I'm not convinced this was all down to production and not just ships arriving (could find out it is production in later books I have yet to start Rebel Dream - any clues Ender?) however it does seem that the Vong population problem would limit their fleet size.
The only interesting thing about this battle would be watching the Vong go postal after finding out about assimilation .
