ISD vs Trek Space

Post by SWPIGWANG »

StarTrek universe is highly dangerous, with neubla of the week, anomal of the week and uber-being of the week.

So how will a ISD do? Will it be trapped in a energy sucking neubla, a subspace loop or something equally weird? Will they survive without the mastery of technobabble?

Considering a sane SD captain won't throw himself into any and all God damned space anomaly he encounters, I believe it will be a smooth ride. Just keep on long range probing, using ship intruments and fighters.

Space is, after all, mostly void, even in ST.

ST space is dangerous to ST ships, but likely not particularly dangerous to Imperial ships. What makes you think that ST space is more dangerous than SW space, which has massive regions of space dotted with black holes, suns that burn more hotly than anything possible in real life, creatures that live in lava, etc.?

Considering that ISD captains don't run off to investigate the anamoly of the week(TM), they'll be fine.

Still, what would happen if they went near the death trap, like they found a rebel ship there and decided to go kill it, would they get stuck too?

Well, if they saw a Rebel ship near a death trap, they'd just send a bunch of TIEs to destroy it. And why exactly would a Rebel ship be in ST space?
