I second Xalev's thought...personally I detest the whole "Why do I have to read the website...blah, blah..." argument because seriously a good deal of their moaning and whining and arguments are handled there before any of us have to get our hands on them.

My Trekkie friend submitted to the obvious after playing the mod for armada when he finally twigged that a SSD was ever so slightly larger than any Trek ship and that hyperspace gave Wars a massive advantage (nothing like dropping an SSD out of hyperspace in the middle of an enemy base and letting it go...)

The point is that most people usually feel uncomfortable when they get into debates eg. 200 GT, 1 TJ, etc. Granted these are quite basic concepts but it's much more comfortable than using "the deflector array to fire an isolithic burst to polarize their aft quarter's quantum osscilliary thermolitic energize via the tetryon frequencies of the surrounding spatial phenomena..." terms.

Reading that made your head hurt?
