Incidentally, why wasn't she wearing a bra? Did they do away with those in the 23rd century?Grand Admiral Thrawn wrote:Hoshi is topless?

Actually her shirt was snagged on the back. It is possible that it snagged on the clasp to her bra, pulling that off as well. And no, I did not really analyze this in depth. Just using some quick logic. I don't really think about how to get women's tops off like this. I'm just wondering why there was something in the tubes to catch your clothes on? What, was it some engineer's structural design on the off chance that some female crewman will have to crawl around in the tubes just so she might get her shirt pulled off? Wow, B&B sure thought this one through.
I have seen the first six episodes of Enterprise. That's it.
The fact that they have introduced a 'Temporal Cold War' and a 29th century Federation in the SECOND SEASON hopefully demonstrates that this so-called Star Trek series goes the way of the Dodo very soon. Hopefully it'll get cancelled after this season, like that worthless piece of shit Dark Angel.

Yes...awfully convenient, wasn't it?neoolong wrote:Actually her shirt was snagged on the back. It is possible that it snagged on the clasp to her bra, pulling that off as well.
Mainly because most of their target audience couldn't manage any other way of getting a woman's top off.And no, I did not really analyze this in depth. Just using some quick logic. Not to mention that Braga's attempt at a Babylon 5 style consistent story arc is bullshit, it's totally fucked up.
I mean, take Daniels (please! take him! ) do we ever see him before the episode where he reveals he's from the future?
It was like oh no, Daniels is really from the future.. wait, WHO THE HELL IS DANIELS??
I don't think anybody has ever given a damn about him.

We never saw Daniels even walking down the hall until he suddenly said, "Hey, guys, I'm from the future. See, there's this big problem there. There's this alien probe, and we need to get a whale... Damn, wrong movie. Okay, there's these evil dudes...."

They've already said that they don't give a damn about continuity. The thing is, though, that they DON'T have to violate continuity. All they had to do was set up a new show going on after TNG, DS9, and Voyager (or, perhaps, even concurrent with Voyager). Then they hardly ever have to run into continuity issues. That they were too stupid to do that is a good indicator of the kind of people they have running the show.

They wanted it both ways, they wanted a show set before TOS (not to show humanity in it's pre-Fed days truly on the frontier with primitive tech, but to carry out B&B's agenda of having their own chars invent everything in TOS) and they wanted a show with time travel and ubertechnology.
So, we get.. this. No continuity, time travel in the first episode, vigorous and constant use of the Reset Button despite promises of real story arcs and stupid ass plots.

Don't forget how ridiculously weak the characters are. They have no personalities, whatsoever. Think about it: what's a word that describes Captain Archer? Doctor Phlox? Hoshi? T'Pol seems to completely change how she views the world every week. There are NO characters in Enterprise. Characters were what made TOS and even TNG and (to some extent) DS9. Without people like Spock and Scotty, Data and Worf, Odo and Dax, Star Trek falls apart. Sure, it has some combat. But almost all sci-fi series do. Sure they have some interesting societies. But all sci-fi series do. Star Trek was always a show about characters. To see a Star Trek show that has no characters is truly a terrible thing.

The part where Hoshi loses her top is so annoyingly contrived it sickens me, I mean what kind of people do they think enjoys that sort of childish...
Oh,
Trekkies...
hmm...
But seriously, imagine if Lucas had put a seen like that involving Natalie Portman (settle down) in Attack of the Clones, the arena monster she fights slashes at her but tears off her top and undergarments causing her to run around with her hands covering herself for 5 minutes till a helpful Jedi with an extra cloak appears.
He would have been restrained in a darkened room until Episode III is safely finished and out the door, and then would have been kept under armed guard while he did anything vaguely Star Wars related...
Snd what do B&B do? they kick off a new season with this nonsense...
