Too expensive. Why not just tell them they've won an all expenses paid vacation on Freedom ship. Then when it happens to explode under mysterious circumstances, why, so much the better!

He is. He was the first trekkie there, but has by now accepted that ST simply can't repel an imperial invasion in the standard senario. He does present good arguments in favor of trek's ability (though not enough to sway the tide of an all out war) and is very knowlageable (he had brought up the exsistance of some form of planetary shields in the Federation long before the subject ever came up here). He is one of the few Trek debators who I can actually respect.

According to Mike, DumbShit is already resorting to the nit-picking "no, you're wrong and here's why" stage (DS - level 3) in the end of Round Two.

I predict that Round Three and onward DumbShit will reach level 4 (further nit-picking "no, I said you were wrong, and here's why" but also with him totally ignoring rebuttles, plus some possible sandman building.)

1. DumbShit is already resorting to the dreaded nitpick, strawman, and red herring. There are a multitude of examples in his latest post.
2. Don't worry, Mike is more than capable of crushing such logical fallacies. I predict that he will, once again, demolish DarkStar's argument in a few quick strokes.

I've skimmed through DorkStar's second reply, and it's just like his last. He repeats the same points, nitpicks every little point, and never concedes his points when they're proven wrong. Hopefully, Mike will set him straight in his response. Perhaps Mike souldn't point out all of DorkStar's fallacies, because if he does, DS will respond with even more nonsense.

Something tells me that Mike's next post is going to be quite nearly as deadly as the first, and if DarkStar responds to that one in the way I think we may be headed, then Wong will utterly crush him with the next installment, after that.

Hey, I was trying for months to make DarkStar crack and no one ever admires me for it. Oh well. I predict that DarkStar, finding his position hopeless, will not admit defeat but will either stop posting, claiming that Mike flamed him, is a worthless git (or something to that effect), or that we are no fun and he has better things to do (his hand).

Heh - what I admire most about your efforts (having lurked here since day 1) is that you DIDN'T GO FRIGGIN' INSANE banging your head against his Wall of Ignorance. I've debated against people like DarkStar before in real life, and to be honest they just drive me completely mad after a while. Loopy. Up the wall. You know, the people that will still argue that "2+2=5" after countless attempts to prove them wrong, and insist you haven't proven otherwise. Aargh! I felt that Mike's first post was enough in its own right to make both points clear. Certainly, the second round should have sealed it for any rational person.
