*sigh*

I can't seem to get anything right

With that last post, on G2k, i made it just as i was leaving. I got back, went on the board, and noticed the "darkstar threads" announcement that was right over my post. I checked it, thought "Oops", then went in my post planning to ask a mod to move or delete it, but I was a bit late.

Sorry about that.

Althought it says i joined in 2002, I was just viewing the forum and made an account. I actually first started going to Stardestroyer.net, well, today.

Standard newbie mistakes, y'know.

BTW Shinova:
"And I'm starting to understand what everyone means when they say that you make these kinds of threads too much"

I've made three (not counting this), count em, three, threads. Thats IT. As a newbie though I didn't realize people were tired of these posts. Cut me a bit of slack here :(

BTW mods please delete that Darkstar thread, no use leaving it there locked for all to see my newbie stupidity, lol

I'm just a bit confused about my second thread... ( http://bbs.stardestroyer.net/viewtopic.php?t=34126 )
What does me-too posts mean? I wasn't jumping out and saying "Oooh, ooh, I'm a warsie too!", I was making a post which I hoped would have some humorus replies. I thought it would be on topic as it was the ST vs SW board. I'm just a tad bit confused by this...seems I can't make a ST vs SW related post right.

If neccessary I guess I'll just have to confine myself to posting in other people's threads only without making ones of my own, cause I just can't seem to get it right.

Try to relax and don't take it too personally. The older posters around here tend to be a bit rough on the newbies, and the general rule for new threads is that it has to be a somewhat interesting topic of discussion, or spurred on by some kind of news, etc.

People tend to turn a rather critical lens upon newbies who either:

A) appear to be trying to curry favour
B) appear to be trolling

Basically, the two extremes. But nobody's flaming you yet; just locking threads that they feel aren't going to go anywhere. If a thread looks like it's not really going anywhere and is just going to attract spam, the mods generally lock it. That goes for older users too.

Like DW is saying...just put up threads of relative interest.

Putting up how dumb DS/G2K/RSA is...well we know that.

Humor threads of the Imp officer...just put up a humor thread.

1 SSD vs the Fed...eh.

I mean we have plenty of stuff here...no need to restrict oneself to only SW vs ST.

And no one is trying to make snap judgements so don't worry.

Sometimes we can choose the path we follow. Sometimes our choices are made for us. And sometimes we have no choice at all
