Sometimes you can see just how stupid a person is by looking at how they brag and talk trash. Talking trash and boasting when you're in the wrong is never a good thing. ...now that most of them have been banned for failing to follow the rules... that several of the groups that Poe pissed off have actually contacted me and are lending their support and are willing to lend testimony (and in some cases, evidence [server logs, archives, ect.]) should Poe respond to our court order. Several of them sent me their contact information via gmail last night and gave me a looooooooooooooooong list of the trash he and his goonies have spread across the internet.

One particular email was fairly astounding. I mean, I already understood that Poe had issues letting things go, particularly when he didn't get his way and would do anything for revenge, but I learned so many *other* things about him in this email.

I'm not going to give anyone this guy's information, but the email itself is great.

Here it is:

It is with an excessive and entirely improper amount of mirth that I
e-mail you.

Years ago, having been involved in various online debates, I chanced upon
the Star Trek vs. Star Wars technology debates online at
alt.startrek.vs.starwars. They were silly, but it seemed an entertaining
distraction, and I took the opportunity to correct a few brazen falsehoods
that the majority was spouting. The response was flaming. So I pushed
harder. And they flamed more. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Eventually this little coterie, spearheaded by a fellow named Wayne Poe
who backed himself with more intelligent but just as worthless
individuals, took things about as far as they could go. Having mistakenly
trusted one poster with a few tales of my life, these were delivered to
Poe's group, and as many details about me (phone number, address, et
cetera) as could be found were posted. The effort was directed at
providing aid to those who would wish to do me harm in real life, and
fomenting long-range harrassment and death threats too.

Astonished at the depths to which they would go to try to win a debate
over sci-fi, I withdrew from the field disgusted.

But the same defiant personality that was their nemesis before . . . that
which caused me to push harder in response to their flames . . . was still
present. Later, with the real life threat nullified and with defiance at
whatever they might attempt, I retook the field under a temporary
pseudonym, preparing a broader effort. Soon enough, with my true identity
revealed, I continued the debate and creation of a whole website dedicated
to it despite their best efforts, both at alt.startrek.vs.starwars and at
what became their home base of StarDestroyer.Net, hosted by one of their
own Mike Wong.

The response on their part was thorough . . . telephone harassment
attempts at work and home, death threats galore, Poe's classic of a posted
torture fantasy regarding me, and so on. His obsession knew few limits,
and the others largely followed his lead.

They took these same tactics to new heights later, so that any strong
newcomer to the debate that opposed them was subjected to the same
treatment . . . all personal information that could be located was posted
and shared among them, and plans for real-life harrassment at the home of
the newcomer were discussed in strategy threads featuring Google Map posts
of the newcomers' homes. There were even occasional legal threats, though
for the most part the rabble preferred maneuvers that were more along the
lines of barely-legal.

Over time, this subculture occasionally selected other targets. For
instance, when a Star Wars author's work featured army numbers for Star
Wars forces that were far less than what they desired, a struggle across
the internet was executed from their home base, and the author was
harassed and annoyed almost without limit. Plans for encounters at
book-signings were considered, though I don't think these ever came to
fruition. However, Wayne Poe did make an interesting video fantasy about
such an encounter erupting into armed combat, and his similarly
ill-considered blog postings at StarWars.com got him banned from there.
Nowadays, irony of ironies, they claim that the author was the aggressor,
and the one levying death threats toward them.

But it follows . . . anti-chronological thinking and spin-doctoring
capabilities that would make some politicians envious are their ways.

In any case, Wayne's early video fantasies involved me, and now with his
"Ultimate" Star Trek vs. Star Wars videos, the obsession he's had for me
over the years is seeing more action. In his warped reality, for
instance, I am the inspiration for Captain Anderson.

Apparently he has something against people from the southeast US . . . me
in Mississippi, and you reportedly in Louisiana.

You can thus imagine my utter amusement that you've successfully achieved
his banning from YouTube, and that you've subjected him to his own
medicine in regards to posting info about his mobile home and so on.
While I do not necessarily agree with such tactics . . . I have, after
all, collected info about him for safety's sake but never posted it . . .
I can also revel in the karmic beauty of it all. The additional threats
of legal action are also top-notch, since you're basically coming at them
with barrels blazing and outmaneuvering them at every turn.

So far, their attacks against you have been lame compared to their best
days. For instance, the patently absurd claim (based on you saying you
were Exec Producer of the "Bridge Commander Series", an obvious reference
to your videos) that you pronounced yourself executive producer of the
Bridge Commander game is just silly, and carries no weight. Even Wayne's
recent attempt to color you as a homophobe are entertaining, given the
frequent claims that he and his cohorts make about me being gay (made in
all manner of graphic descriptions) simply for daring to disagree with
them.

In any case, if you require additional clarifications . . . for instance,
I know there was initial confusion as to who owned StarDestroyer.Net
(Wayne's website is a Geocities site with a different URL) . . . I can
provide such assistance in an advisory capacity, though I'd prefer not to
be mentioned for the time being.

Keep up the entertaining work, and just remember that you've picked a good
target.
