I'm gonna make a guess. The Guardian's crew abandon's ship, and then it gets run over. Shore leave follows on a typical Alpha Quadrent paradise world.

I hope Jorg makes it, too. It may be in his contract, since I made Jorg look like Phil!
And was that Risa at the end?
Could be...

I'm still waiting for one FX scene from a contributor. Hopefully within a week.

I slowed it down to a crawl while filming, then sped it up in "post".

It's here, folks; the last chapter in the Last Bastion series.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7emjNhsGNZ8

I still haven't heard from the FX guru that was going to contribute. Apologies, but I wanted to put the series to bed, and could wait no longer. We'll save the clip for a possible Special Edition!

P.S. Stay for the credits!

The credits kinda ruined the surprise there :P

(You credited a wormhole FX and a Tusken camp, so it wasn't hard to guess what was coming!)

I think we all saw most of the ending coming, but still, good work! He he...gone fishin'...

"Guardian 2000 is attempting to...block our vector".

Very satisfying to put that in the movie!

There's no plans for a sequel; I think this is it, barring a "special edition" that would merge all parts into a full movie. But I have no plans for that, either.

Thanks Phil, for coming through like fuckin' gangbusters on a great script.

Notes; I thought of killing of Chief Kiston in part 5, by having him blown out of the hangar bay when the TIE fighters launched.

The original ending had Captain Anderson staring at the postcards from Risa while his escape pod tumbled into deep space.

I thought up two alternate endings, and Phil picked the Tusken Raider camp. The other ending would have Captain Anderson's escape pod appear over Endor and fly into the Death Star hangar, just as the Emperor arrived in ROTJ. The pod would crush the Emperor, and someone would yell, "Oh my god, he's killed the Emperor!"

Always amusing, Poe, nice work.

Also nice to see the dreaded Imperial Beach Troopers once more.

A great end to a great series!! I'm a more recent fan of TLB, but I've enjoyed all of your movies. Great job!

Nitpick: In previous episodes, it was just the Starship Guardian. If I wasn't familiar with RSA's posting history, I wouldn't have known why you'd tacked the 2000 on there. Regardless, it feels a little misplaced.

They could have just been calling it the Guardian for short.

The Guardian's registry is, strangely enough, NX-2000. Since it's written in big letters on the hull, the Imperials might think it's part of it's name.
