Are you serious? Geez! I hated the part where Chewie died, but damn! You won't see me sending death threats to anyone over a freakin novel! (albiet, a damn good one. You gotta admit that its kinda badass for Chewie, for after all he's been through, to be taken out by a fucking moon. ) Hell, I wonder how many death threats Tory Denning got over Anakin's death in Star by Star.Ender wrote:I agree. We're talking about people who sent death threats after RA Salvadore killed Chewie after all.
What if... Berman & Braga obtain Star Wars license???

There is a difference. He RAS killed of a GL creation and Anakin was only some EU character.Vertigo1 wrote:

True, but Anakin is a Solo. That alone gave him character shields of epic proportions. To be honest, I rather liked Anakin. Its Jacen I wanted to get killed. Little twerp whined to damn much! He whined more than Luke in ANH and Anakin in AOTC combined in the NJO books (though not so much in Traitor, but I'll leave those details out)!Mr. B wrote:There is a difference. They would probably make some more movies, but they would have no continuity with the other movies, there would be a lot of technobabble, an entire movie would deal with an ISD almost blowing up, the enemy ships would be organic, all the characters would be out of character, the villians would be s from ST movies, and nanobots would destroy the Star.

Well, if B&B acquire SW they might as well accomodate KJA dream..........Ender wrote:I know something scarier:

So every Saturday morning we'll see a Young Jedi series based on KJA novels and produced & written by B&B. Now, anyone care to watch that?

Hmmmm, I thin I actually thought of something good that could come out of
B & B making a SW television show.
Natalie Portman in lots of shower/decon scenes (ala Enterprise). At least then the show might be worth taping so you could fast foward to the good parts and then s l o w f r a m e advance and pause and....nevermind.

The characters are fine, but most of the plots were terrible.

Young Jedi Knights, and the thought of those 3 scourges of the galaxy banding together nearly made me piss myself.
Let's not forget Stackpole's X-wing novels while I'm at it. I happen to like the X-wing series of games. I'm capable, however, of recognizing that they're *games* and that the capitol ships are weak in them so everyone playing can live out their fantasy of blowing up a Star Destroyer all by themselves. Hence the "towers on the Star Destroyer bridge = shield generators" thing, which was only done to make blowing one up possible with fighters. I'd say it's a good candidate for the "brain bugs" page, it seems to be taking on a life of it's own.
