In response to the title question: I have not seen any of this, and I am an active member of SB. Labeling the SB population like that is unfair, most of them/us are fair debaers.
Besides, there is nothing wrong with choosing a year of the debate, since people still want to debate and obviously can't do a standard Federation Vs Empire debate anymore, due to the ICS.
