I agree that the solution would be to exterminate the damn critters (throw them into the trash compactor).

I disagree that everyone just 'thinks they are cute'. IIRC tribbles emitted some kind of pleasant telepathic thingy that made people feel good when cuddling them (which had the exact opposite effect on klingons). Either that or it was the other way around (human brainwaves pleased the tribbles so they purred, klingon brainwaves irritated them and they screamed) but I think it was a two-way thing.

speaking of mouse droids did anyone notice that one of the Mouse Droids sounded like it was shifting gears as it sped up in ANH? i wonder how fast the little things are.

Didn't the tribbles have somekind of mind control... well at least a little? Somekind of soothing effect, which had the opposite effect on klingons?

If so, what density would it take to make Darth go "look at the cute woozle wuzzle"? Could a sovereign's transporters transport tribble faster than Darth's lightsaber could cut them up, thereby reaching this density? ...

Hm maybe the proximity of the Dark Side would corrupt the tribbles... making them the Dark Tribbles! Instead of feeding from friendly brain waves they would feed on the misery and suffering of humanity!

Maybe they would start doing evil Tribble stuff, whatever that is.
