They look pretty dangerous to me.
the is a Free For All between all combatants

The battle has been in progress for around 20 minutes when the Imperial Tank Droid from Dark Empire arrives. He proceeds to 0Wn almost by default, since he is some 30 meters tall and packs a pair of heavy turbolasers. Those he does not blast into free-floating molecules, he simply runs over and crushes beneath his multi-ton bulk.
The Tank Droid is squashing the T-800 into an interesting lubricant stain when Guri, who's spent the entire battle since Mr. Tracky made his appearance spreadeagled in a blind spot halfway up the Tank Droid's superstructure, sees her chance. She leaps down to the ground, kicks in the droid's tech access hatch, does a Matrix Bullet-Time number to dodge the fire from the automated grenade launcher hidden behind the door, runs super-fast through the corrosive gas-filled corridor system, makes her way into the Tank Droid's central processing suite, kicks the muzzle off the repeating-blaster turret which swivels round to greet her, then brings a hoof down on the tank droid's brain. She's the last bot standing (well, technically the tank droid's still standing, but it can't think or do shit).
GURI WINS!!!

exellent but I left the tank droid out for a reason, Data had to have a slight chance to win.

IG-88 isn't particularly inventive though, i seem to remeber him loosing to boba fett a few times.

Though now i think about it everyone looses to boba fett

so my money is on IG-88 then

So what about Rommie?

Post by Patrick Ogaard »

The Andromeda Ascendant really should be allowed into this little free-for-all. The question, of course, is which form she should appear in:

heavy cruiser,
android avatar,
AI in a virtual reality environment,
pair of enormously huge planetary combat robots, or
horde of service androids with force lances?

Even if we limit the choice just to the android avatar, IG-88 should have a tough fight on its hands. Rommie apparently invested in armored internal systems after getting speared through the guts (rather like Data, actually). Rommie is also strong, agile, fast, has encyclopedic military experience and knowledge, knows how to apply it in combat, has a fully developed personality complete with humor, and has one unbeatable advantage: understated android cleavage.

If none of that works, just start with the barrage of kinetic kill missiles.

The battle rages for five minutes until Data, IG-88, and the super battle droid are standing.

Data's constant technobabble cause the droid and IG-88 to ally and they both dismember Data.

IG-88 would definetly fall to Marvin easily. IG-88 will simply try to hack
Marvins brain and try to convert him. Wich will not really work since Marvin
after all, has a brain ths size of planet (according to canon HHGTG quote).
Also coming accross his personality files, IG-88 will commit suicide out of
sheer depression.

As for Marvin vs the Tank Droid, I say Marvin again, just see how he handled
the big nasty tank robot at the HHTGA HQ in the first book (or was it the
second?).

I guess Guri would kill him as she doesent waste time with mind tricks.

4-LOM would try to learn from him, and the ever helpful Marvin will download
his personality to him... bye, bye 4-LOM too. I guess the Borg drone, and
the entire Borg collective will meet a similar demise when they try to
assimilate him.

Dont know much about Data's "family" but I guess Data could easily be talked
into suicide unless he disabled his emotion chip in time. As for pure
ohysical prowess I guess they would be pretty even but I doubt Marvin would
actually fight anyone. Of course, Data would never kill someone who didnt
fight back... hmm... Stand off... I guess Data would die of "old age" first,
Marvin after all, survived several million years in what would turn into
Miliways parking lot on Magarethea.

R2D2 would dissassemble him piece by piece though... C3PO would be bombarded
into oblivion with sarcasm, after all, he cant take rudeness from a fellow
robot, as seen at Bespin in TESB.

The Trade Fed battledroids would gun him down easily unless he somehow manages to uplink to the Droid Control ship. If that happens, see above.

T-800 has no reason to attack Marvin as hes not human, but if he does, Marvin is mostly likely junk.

as for the others... I cant be arsed...

marvin has a pretty good list of kills in Hitchhiker. He accidentaly destroyed a Galaxy Police cruiser, taking out 2 GP officers as a bonus, took out a tank, destroyed a bridge and all attending the opening ceremony (accidentaly), and prob several other things iv forgotten about.

Surely the Borg drone would win, easily - first off Marvin wouldn’t stand a chance of talking it into suicide – it doesn’t care about living or dying anyway being simply part of the collective. And as for the IG-88 I think you are forgetting one thing
> Personal forcefields < the Borg basically wipe out anyone not ready for that. Uh Oh! I was wrong the Borg doesn’t shoot, it looses because it doesn’t shoot – it just does the Star Trek thing and tries to assimilate them instead and gets ripped to pieces for its pacifist attitude.

Incidentally its good that you banned robots from other universes, the worst one I could think of was the Shrike from Dan Simmons Hyperion, it wouldn’t even laugh at them. Fighting the shrike would be worse than fighting Dr Who, not only can it move anywhere in time and space but its main weapon is a time accelerator, you never want to fight anything that moves so fast that it carves plasma tunnels out of the air and leaves sonic booms wherever it goes. The whole empire would have trouble fighting it let alone the federation or a few robots!
A typical battle of the Shrike vs. say the Enterprise would go – The Shrike appears in the centre of the bridge and stands completely still, its appearance - covered with rusty hooks and blades terrifies them as does the fact that they cant seem to scan through its surface, although it does appear to be some kind of nano-molecular sheath formed in thousands of layers, its waits patiently till they have almost got it figured out then casually accelerates up to full speed. It only takes it a second and a half to have the entire crew served up as sushi on a bar that it sets up in the former bridge. It wipes the computers then leaves mysteriously giving the federation a thoroughly interesting puzzle to solve.

Technically its arguable whether the Shrike is even a robot as its heart is a human corpse.

- Lucien

I think Adam from Buffy would make a great addition to this, for those who don't know, he has a minigun/rocket launcher coming out of his riht arm, an 18 inch skewer coming out of his left, and he was only defeated by Uber-Buffy.
