A fan movie would be feasible, except for the ST characters. None of the SW characters are still around, so it doesn't matter, but it's going to be a real bitch to find actors for the NCC-1701-E crew....or even animate them a la Final Fantasy.THEHOOLIGANJEDI wrote:BTW what are the chances of a Star Trek Star Wars Movie ever being made. Depends on who makes it into a film.
Any Hollywood studio (or based around said ideals), I wouldnt expect to recognise it.
Fan made, I wouldnt expect it to be complete any time this decade.
In a few decades, with advanced computer graphics with near photorealistic quality running in realtime AND with good physics engine; I would expect someone to patch together a program/game depicting it.

However, I would expect it to take years to get all the bugs outggs wrote:Depends on who makes it into a film.

This comment was prompted by reading the thread 'The Release date: Talk-back' for MoO3.
The company developing it was being slammed due to the fact that discovering game stopping crash bugs a week before expecting to go Gold, speaks of deep fundmental flaws in the games architecture.[/url]
Zero chances. Even if it were possible to get around all the copyright laws, you'd never be able to do it. No matter how the movie turned out, you'd have rabid fans from both sides protesting that the movie wasn't done properly and that their sides weren't given enough credit.THEHOOLIGANJEDI wrote:BTW what are the chances of a Star Trek Star Wars Movie ever being made. Honestly, Wong's fanfic is probably the least biased Trek/Wars fanfic I've read, though I still think the Borg would have made for a much greater challenge to the Empire. I mean, the whole fanfic has the Federation getting their butts kicked (except for the battle around Earth, which I thought was really well done), so now it should be the Empire's turn to sweat.
Look not to the hands of God for the keys to your salvation, but to your own hands. And if they are not there, search your pockets, or the kitchen table. Think. Where did you leave them last?

Has anyone read the "Worlds without End" saga written on "SFdebris.com"? I read Wong's fanfic first and thought it was quite good(I even e-mailed him and complemented him on it), but after reading the "World's without End" Saga, his seemed pale by comparison. The Empire was still at Wong level, but the Borg were much improved, and the Federation and other powers were written by someone who actually liked Star Trek. Best fanfic I've ever read in this crossover concept, and I'd vote it much better as a movie.

you could always petition the Paramount/Lucasarts people. Im sure if they felt there would be a lot of money at stake.

that image would be priceless on the silver screen.

I have to agree here, and it's not a slam on Conquest. Worlds Without End, Shadows of the Night and Paradise Lost are terrific original works, by far outstripping any SW books (possibly excepting the Thrawn Trilogy and Wraith Squadron).Robert Walper wrote:Has anyone read the "Worlds without End" saga written on "SFdebris.com"? Well, I think you'll find that Chuck does well even when he hates a character. Look at how he treats Janeway. It takes a very good author to avoid tormenting a character he absolutely loathes. The Empire was still at Wong level, but the Borg were much improved, and the Federation and other powers were written by someone who actually liked Star Trek. The "World's without End" saga is good, but the sequals just dont have the same factor to them for me. Especially Paradise Lost, I really dont like that ne.Robert Walper wrote:Has anyone read the "Worlds without End" saga written on "SFdebris.com"?
